I'd be lying if I said I had any clue - I'm sure they will just make it up as they go along. Possible Red Jazz could lead a group low, but who knows...

To be fair Mikel Delzangles has only been training since 2001 so it's harsh to point to his non existent record in the race. Can't find a lot out about him but he used to be assistant trainer to Alain De Royer-Dupre. Looks like he has about a quarter of the horses the 'powerhouse' stables have. He was 31st in the trainers table by wins last year but interestingly looks to have a better percentage win to runner and also runs record than pretty much all those above him (worked it out roughly in my head!) which is quite interesting and perhaps he's an up and coming trainer to take note of, hope so anyway :)
Agree being near the favourite can be no bad thing although they don't want to watch him to closely because his turn of foot could kill them so they need to run their own race. |

1 winning favourite since Zafonic in 1993. No horse in the last 10 years was foaled later than 7th April. Good luck with the fav :-)
Makfi and Awzaan are strongest on overall trends and represent the value in the race. |
