Alegralil 10s is massive in the MAres hurdle Coolcashin to go from the front in the chase at Leop and hold off Offshore Account - decent e/w prices both of them Kilcrea Castle in the B365 ( have nibbles on Lac at 33s ) Akarshan is a big price for the hurdle but perhaps that's cos he's got no chance but i thought he might still progress... two bets today
Dazinski is entered in the Chester Cup and surely needs to win the 2 miler at Ripon today to pick up a penalty for that race to give him a chance of getting in. Sharayeen at Leicester was a massive disappointment last time at Doncaster after travelling very well for most of the race. The Hills horses weren't finishing their races at that meeting though so back on faster ground, which he has won on at Ffos Las, and in a soft race I need to retain the faith. gl all |

Selection:
Oiseau De Nuit 1pt e/w 16/1 Generally With the NH season coming to an end we head to Sandown today for our selection. The Bet365 Celebration Chase is usually contested by 1 or 2 top class horses and a bunch of handicappers and this season is no different with 5 of the 8 runners spending most of the season in Handicap company 2 struggleing to land a blow in graded company and the class horse Twist Magic. Twist Magic is without doubt the best horse in the race and on official rateings has at least a stone in hand on the rest of the field but this doesn't tell the full story. Unlike previous short priced FAV's in the race he comes into the race out of form Pulling Up at Cheltenham before refusing to race at Puchestown. All the talk this morning is if he jumps of he wins but I'm not to sure. With Chaninbar, Lord Jay Jay,**The Rib and Im So Lucky (change of tactics) all likly to be fighting for the lead I feel they will cut each other's necks and could well set it up for something coming of the pace. Of the 3 coming of the pace Oh Crick has raced over 4 different distances this season and while has ran OK in good races I feel he has had a hard season and should have been put away for the summer after his last run. Mahogany Blaze is as solid a yard stick as they come but is hard to win with and hasnt won a chase since his novice days. That leaves us with Oiseau De Nuit. Failing to win over hurdles he started his Chase career in 07 in a Handicap of the lowly mark of 93 and duely won. He finished the season on a mark of 109. He finished the next season on a mark of 127 and is currently on a mark of 144. Without doubt this horse is improving with age and whilst he needs to improve again today I feel he has it in him. Needing the run fto he ran Green Belt Elite a close 2nd on Boxing day whilst this was a low grade afair the form has worked out very well. NTO he won as he wanted at Fos Lass before running a galent 2nd to Kalahri King at Doncaster, this sort of form saw him go of a well backed 3rd Fav in the Grand Annual. For some reason conections felt a change of tactics would do him good and decided to ride him in the first couple from the start. At the top of the hill he took the race up but faded badly on the straight before eventually PU. I would be inclined to disregard this run totally. NTO he was back of the pace and ran a 19L staying on 3rd to Chaninbar at Aintree who he meets on 12lbs better terms. The weight alone wont get him infront of that horse today but I feel Chaninbar benefited from the rest of the field thinking he had went to fast that day and in todays small field with so many other runners he wont be given anywhere near as much rope. The Tizard stable are hitting a bit of form at the moment and with so many question marks over the rest of the field I feel Oiseau De Nuit is a great e/w bet at 16/1 Stay Lucky P.S. Anybody see Ferdy horse in the 1.40 run lto ;) |
