b]dunno[/b] defending a 100% record at Sandown might be worth a few quid.

King of Wands on first run for John Gosden in the last at Ripon, where trainer has excellent strike rate of 4 winners from 8 runners is going to look pretty big at 2/1 in an hour's time, can see this getting smashed off the boards. I remember him sending a horse he got for these same owners from J Dunlop to bolt up in a handicap at Epsom first time out last year, and this has the look of a progressive animal to me. Buick goes up for the ride so worthy of a second look.

Well Chaps thats the season over, long break now till we get any good jumps racing again. Ended with a brilliant run after a poor Cheltenham.

Galway is dross imo, mixing jumps and flat, never bet on it. Old Roan Chase is usually the starting point of my season. That's a long time away :(

Might be making my first journey over to galway this summer, when Extreme Conviction spiff spaffs all over the irish in the 2m6 handicap hurdle (if all goes to plan beforehand, may be a bit optimistic at this stage!)

It's been a pleasure 09/10 season, ended on a low - but i certainly won't forget you with all the highs. Although not the biggest win - Denman's Hennessy sticks out for me.

The sickening truth is that I lost more laying that **king grey horse for a place :( WAFC. 30 **king years in the game and I'm still a cun t.

What you think of The Fly now? Champion Hurdle chance? I don't think he was fit yesterday, looked poor in the ring and seemed to be guts that got him up. Travelled with panache during the race and was hard on the steel turning for home, just couldn't quicken at the end. Alot better to come from him imo. Fingers crossed he'll stay fit.

Yeah, I read your comments on his appearance, could be that he wasn't 100%, but could be that he needs to be fresh either way. In any event that third horse should have you worried. It may turn out to be a weak renewal. At the moment I wouldn't back at anything under say 12/1 for the CH, because he may not be good enough and also because he has been prone to problems.

I already backed Hurricane Fly for the Champion Hurdle at 12/1. 3rd time lucky, hope I'll get a run. On a line through Medermit who is a consistent horse the fly has 8 lengths to make up on Binocular. I say fully fit he can go close. Long way to go yet though.

Binocular on his day is pretty much unbeatable imo :0
