hard race at aintree, takes time to quicken possibly needs a long straight.
to the man whose name I cant remember, he ran on the flat on good ground, beaten a length by drive time, a horse that susequently beat red rock canyon comfortably on his next appearance.

C2 'd have thought ou'd be laying General Miller e/w for this. Looks a good lay to me, I'm place laying at 1.35 if possible.
Golden Silver would be another e/w lay. Needs the mud.

The ground wasn't too soft at leopardstown where golden silver won easy enough. Couldnt be sure how much water has been put down either. I think he looks overpriced at 14's on here.

It's the hard race and only 10 days rest that would put me off, also it's right handed and not a flat track, plus the trip over.
I like the horse, hell he was my first win since Big Bucks at Cheltenham and started this fantastic run I've been on.
Just thought you'd be taking him on pretty big. Dabbling in laying myself, sometimes races are too hard to figure out but has a fav who's too short and hence worth laying.

for those BSM fans, Ruby favoured Flat Out of Willies at Punch preview last night. according to BJ blog on ATR website. but hey, what do jockeys know?! Loosen My Load at a price for me, good ground will see him in a better light, sure to progress from Fairy run, has 6lbs pull with BSM. General Miller has only 12 days to recover from a battle at Aintree, a lay at the prices.

Ruby also favoured Deutschland over Barker in the 3mile Novice Chase last year. So what do jockeys know?
Though Ruby was adamant Quevega was his banker of the Cheltenham meeting and he was right so....

Menorah won the Supreme and was beaten by General Miller just a few weeks later because the latter was fresher, same thing this time round imo. I think he may drift though tomorrow.

Followed DAS & co in after Dunquib change of plan at 8s but will be saving on hendersons if he drifts much more.
Why isnt Townend on The midnight club ?

Although he got smashed by BSM and Luska lto, I reckon that was just a prep for this race (opened up at 9/2, drfited to 7/1 !). Was never going to be effective in the bad ground and after travelling and jumping well just got bogged down in the end. Better ground today and fancy him to go a lot closer at a decent price. BSM and General Miller both had pretty hard races lto whereas LML wasn't knocked around and was saved for this (imo). That race was his first since the Paddy Power meeting and it should have brought him on nicely.
gl.

wd C2, you would've come to the same conclusion yourself anyway. I only place layed him. Have had some good results with the few times I've been laying.
Luska Lad spaff job?

Thanks CV, to be fair I wouldn't have! Thanks to you and Perp for directing me, especially about him needing a long straight
:)
Sorry, don't even know who Luska Lad is!

All you needed to know was Plat was on Blackstairmountain :)
Luska Lad beat Blackstair lto, he heads for the 2m4f on Friday, the day I'll be there. Wonder what people think of him given the fast ground.
