Elusive Pimpernel

With the next forfeit stage being tomorrow it's not looking like it's going to be a bumper field for this years race which means the draw shouldn't be playing a big part. If the weather for the next 2 weeks keeps the ground firmish then I think that has to be a doubt for SNA and although Awzaan is bred to get a mile Middle Park winners have a poor record in the 2000G. With that in mind I think Elusive Pimpernel must be a stand out for the race given how impressive he was in the Craven, yes he didn't beat much but he performed over course and distance and I think his biggest danger might well be Fencing Master.
