it was brilliant mate,i've been loads of times as it's handy for me, it's one of those bank holiday places and you have to get there very early, facilities are minimal and if it rains you get wet, nowhere to shelter, but the village is nice with a few shops to look round a couple of pubs to have a drink and if you are inclined a very old nice priory to look round. on course a couple of bookie tents some very expensive eating tents but some affordable takeaways, a fairground and plenty of stalls to browse round, the first twenty years i went you couldn,t see much of the racing and you still can't but they now have a big screen and you can watch on that. as long as you don't expect newmarket or york it is a very enjoyable day out,

i have returned, fffffffffffffffos las is a shed in the middle of nowhere and as for chester, a place i have never liked,it only gets worse. on arrival with my online purchased tickets for the county stand i was told that my shirt tie and top of the range cardy (yes i was wearing pants) were not acceptable i had to have a jacket, i was then escorted to the tatersalls entrance, no mention of a refund. so 4 chester i hope it ends up a dog track imo.
