will they water to make sure denman runs? will bring in ££ fo sho if he does

Beautiful forecast all week

Hard race to weigh up until we know if Denman runs. If he does can't see anything to beat him. Silver by Nature would need a hell of a lot more than 2 stone off him to beat him. Look at the Henessy where FAR better animals than SBN couldn't receive the weight.
By:
SBN could beat Denman being given 26 lbs..very progressive and is not to be underestimated...however a watching brief is advised as if the ground is quickish the winner won't be either of these two..
By:
NOT an antepost betting race imv. If Denman runs, he's very capable of winning, and I think he would. If he doesn't, then i'll look at it properly :p

I've had a bit of cleni boy 100/1 s*an james...
Not too bad form over the years with noel meade in Ireland, ran in a few decent races if not totally covered himself in glory. Going as well as any when tipping up at aintree in Nov'09 and then didn't run at all bad next time when 2nd at Wincanton. Worth a try at the trip, drying ground shouldn't be a problem and trainer looks like he may be a bit of a dark horse himself, landed a little touch with silver gypsy on Monday. Not 100% guaranteed to run but interestingly was entered twice at national meeting and didnt run, kept for this? |

favourite with the sponsor for the Coral Scottish Grand National at Ayr on Saturday, was on Sunday night ruled out ofthe race by trainer Paul Nicholls.
The likelihood of quicker than ideal ground was the reason put forward by Nicholls, who will now prepare this year's Totesport Cheltenham Gold Cup runner-up for the Guinness Gold Cup at Punchestown a week on Wednesday. "I spoke to [joint-owner] Paul Barber, and basically it's going to be a dry, warm, windy week," said Nicholls. Paul Nicholls: made early decision "Even if Ayr water, the ground is not going to be right for him, so we have made an early decision not to run - that will make life a darn sight easier for everyone else |

DENMAN, 5-2 favourite with the sponsor for the Coral Scottish Grand National at Ayr on Saturday, was on Sunday night ruled out ofthe race by trainer Paul Nicholls.
The likelihood of quicker than ideal ground was the reason put forward by Nicholls, who will now prepare this year's Totesport Cheltenham Gold Cup runner-up for the Guinness Gold Cup at Punchestown a week on Wednesday. Paul Nicholls: made early decision PICTURE: Edward Whitaker "Even if Ayr water, the ground is not going to be right for him, so we have made an early decision not to run - that will make life a darn sight easier for everyone else planning for the race." That comment relates to Denman's presence keeping all bar three other entries out of the handicap, which will now assume a more conventional look. Denman's last nine wins, dating to November 2006, have all been on going descriptions which have included the word |
