I've traded him for a 70/1 free bet. He fits the dosage trends perfectly but smacks too many fences for my liking and I think this could either be a new beginning or perhaps the end for him.

Remember Red Marauder, hit almost every fence, the one trained by M. Ppe that finished placed, I'm sure that he hit every fence? Was it Epervier Bleu, or something?

watch the welsh nat. again....one bad mistake in the race...jumped as good as anything the rest of the race...may not win...but not as bad a jumper as is being made out....

trev is correct, people seem to have stuck with the view that he cannot jump, not so,every race there has been improvement in his jumping, and if he gets round has a big chance imo.

Ballyfitz is undoubtedly well handicapped but he´s far from a natural over fences and it´s to his credit he overcame a more than one blunder to finish fourth. He´s in the National but given his tendency to smash through fences one would have to be worried for him if he did run.

Ballyfitz ran well in the Paddy Power but effectively ended his chance here with three early errors.
^^^ All comments from his last 3 chase starts on RP.

i'll take ur word for it. but he has jumped badly this season (in general), but seems well handicapped so if he jumps well, has to have a chance. but just seems a big IF.

Hello Bud only fails on no top3 last 3 runs - being a 12yo that stat must be a worry.
Had a look at Ballyfitz - he has never actually fallen(did unseat ft over fences), but look at his i/r comments - hits more than one per race which has to be a concern. Fails on the top3/last3; won a 29k+ race & top 5Henn/Top3 IGN-WGN-SGN etc trends.
Irish Raptor fails on at least 4 trends.

My shortlist......... Don't Push It - long term fancy. Niche Market - IGN winner, Hennessy 3rd. Dream All - WGN winner, former Hennessy 2nd. Snowy Morning - meets a lot of trends & handles the course. Arbour Supreme - being saying he was a future GN horse for over 2years, but seem to have missed the boat, or at least let it sail w/o me. :| Have taken some 20's on here.

I did search it after your earlier comments trev on rp.com, couldn't see anything. Would be nice if I got a run, but it is 150/1 shot. Could be worse, couldve backed Bally**z! :D

Murphy said: "At the moment, if one horse comes out then Silver Birch, who is 41st on the list, gets a place in the John Smith's Grand National and Cerium would be next. If that happens, I will withdraw Mr Pointment to get Cerium in the race. Of course, if nothing comes out, Mr Pointment will run.
"I know that Howard is also looking at the same option - he has Abbeybraney (no 40) in and wants Royal Rosa, who is listed one below Cerium at 43rd, to run instead. So it could be that if one horse comes out, there will be three new runners in the John Smith's Grand National on Saturday."
