there away from has not been impressive , think last two PL games have scraped a 1-0 ? not sure but they have more than enough fire power. Adebayor returns and they are on a good run. Would rather be backer than a layer.

I'm a bit worried tho, have got Tatenen, What-A-Friend and Masterminded in a 120/1 treble
What you think on Tatenen for the Paddy Power AR/Sint? Quite like him for it.

Laddiess World Hurdle hero Big Buck's is reported to have improved for another summer on his back.
Paul Nicholls has a firm plan in mind for his star and is delighted with his progress..
Nicholls commented: "He is gleaming and has improved physically since last year.
"He will start off at Newbury, then go to the Long Walk at Ascot, the Cleeve at Cheltenham and then back to the Festival and Aintree.
"His campaign is easily mapped out, and hopefully he will be hard to beat again."

Nah I left that, although technically assuming good fitness he's a moral for that. Already a large investment for Chelts, so thought I'd leave that one! :p You?

that was gruelling to watch, sometimes makes you wonder if horses should be raced at extreme trips on extreme ground imo. A hard race that was.
better on better ground too.that was gruelling to watch, sometimes makes you wonder if horses should be raced at extreme trips on extreme ground imo. A hard race that was.
If i was Willie Mullins i would seriously consider running Mikhael D in the world hurdle. On a line through Dianmond Harry and Karabak he has the beating of Big Bucks.

I love Big Bucks! However, once again, I have been unable to give the beast a high speed fig. His run at Newbers last week was roughly on par with what I have given him in the past (90). Could it be that the decent staying hurdlers at the mo are not that brilliant? To be honest, I don't know. What I do think though, is this: If something half decent comes along between now and Cheltenham, Big Bucks would be worth opposing. I am still of the opinion that if Zaynar gets 3 miles he could pose a serious threat in the world hurdle and could be better than Punchestowns at the trip.

Think your post sums shows why speed figures (a laughable term for measuring 3 mile hurdles in heavy ground) are a load of sh1t Fastbear.
Why anyone puts any faith in them for NH racing is beyond me.The unbeaten reigning World Hurdler,Big Bucks,is rated the best hurdler in the world yet you can't give him a high figure so you're looking for alternatives to him - what does that tell you ?.
A rather flawed system for measuring horses ability.

I've said before that he's not that quick, but he keeps winning and thats all that matters. I haven't worked out his speed figs for this race yet, will be interesting with the quick ground.

What PFN said was 'I suspect he'll stay over hurdles. He schooled really well over baby fences last week'
I think they will be strongly tempted to go for the Gold Cup next year

SC, it was a bit more than that. Said he'll still only be 8 next season so he could go over fences the season after next as a 9 year old.
Crazy imo. If he were mine he'd be over fences starting November.

Neither KS or Denman would go back to the Festival with a favs chance in the GC, imo (assuming IC is around) and the Stewart family would love to win a GC. There will be a lot of talking to do over the summer but I'd bet they'll school him a few more times over fences before the new season starts.

Would be mad not to. The only problem is if he doesn't improve his fencing Ruby has said there is simply no point in going chasing, as even though he never feels like falling to him, he is always losing about 1.5 lengths at every fence and at the top level you can't get away with that in 3m chases.
Would personally love to see Kauto retire after his crack at a 5th King George, win lose or draw.
Denman I'd imagine will be using the GC as a prep for the GN.
IC will be 10, but not a lot of miles on the clock. Actually think he's a bit of value at the minute given he'll only have 2 runs before March 2011.
