"With many 2-year-olds and European invaders running in Breeders' Cup, the scope of this report is to identify Breeders' Cup entries that will either run without Lasix or run with Lasix for the first time. We'll also look at equipment changes in Breeders' Cup, including So You Think in the Classic."

what does lasix do? I thought it just prevented nosebleeds, but listening to the pundits on ATR, it has helped horses become better. They said things like 'wasn't that good over here but after getting on the lasix he's won grade 1 races etc'

made it sound like it was performance enhancing!
Report xmoneyx November 4, 2011 3:59 PM GMT
what is such a drug allowed???
Report jmc27 November 4, 2011 4:39 PM GMT
Horses give so much when running in a race that a lot bleed somewhat in their lungs (some alot more than others of course but any level of bleeding obstructs)
Lasix stops that bleeding so the lungs stay clear giving the improvement.

ok thx

why dont BHR allow it?
Report ForceMajeure November 4, 2011 5:03 PM GMT
Like all performance enhancing drugs there are side effects.

They are banned in our countries yet for some strange reason the Yanks allow it.

Go figure.

I lost about 80 quids worth of drugs last night because I was so drunk and tonight I have backed Elusive Kate

Got all the Champions League results right on Weds though.  Has Goldikova gone ova the top?
