I backed your horse in last years Cesarewich and he would have gone close with a clear run. Whats your chances tomorrow? Like the booking of Hannagan and hes nicely berthed in 2 to follow Junior. I see Ellison has had a a nice few winners recently too so whats the word! Cheers.
Well tbh i cant beleive hes such a short price on his last 3 runs.
However, if we only consider his runs on right handed tracks, especially when the grounds not too firm, and hes yet to run a bad race for me. He even ran well on his last runs right handed for Nicky Richards compared to his last 2 runs left handed for them.
So if we conclude he needs to go right handed and the going not too firm, then we cant be surprise if he runs a good race. Won a handicap off 85 so 89 shouldn't be beyond him.
But saying all that, as a punter id want a little bit more in the last few runs to bet him at current prices against in form horses, but as the owner at Ascot ive got a few things going for me to be hoping he runs a good race.
Hanagans booked as hes there and rang for the ride and since hes won on it, why not let him ride it.

I still remember Royal Ascot a good few years ago when he got a shocker of a ride from Steve Drowne when Yound Mick won. I'll be backing it anyway!
Hey Koo, I told you I thought Bring Sweets should have gone up in trip and be ridden from off the pace didn't I! ;)
P.S If you're looking at a decent novice hurdler for next season, it may be worth seeing what you can get Tominator for.

Thanks for that and good luck today. I was taking hope from the fact hes never run well at York and was out of his depth last time anyway. Funny Hannigan phoned for the ride as he's quite downbeat about his chances on his ATR blog, I quote "its hard to get too excited about Palomars chances tomorrow". Plymouth Rock is the one I fear as he had nowhere to go in the ces and flew home from the back. There will be plenty of pace on today, has the Ascot King on board and although he's top weight theres only 10lb covering the lot of them. He will appreciate yesterdays rain too. Good luck nontheless!

Well I ducked the race completely and just as well! Looks like the Cesarewich form is worth a pile of beans after those showings. Thought Paul gave your horse a distinctly average ride, giving up a good draw to sit and suffer at the back of the field. Maybe he expected them to go off like the clappers with a good few confirmed front runners but it didnt happen and just like the Gosden horse he had no chance of winning from there. Im sure he'll pop up at a big price in a less competitive field some day this year. Thanks for your honest appraisal anyway.

Hello again Koo. The Ces is almost upon us again and i was thinking of my old pal Palomar after his unlucky run last year. I know he didnt run well here the other day but Im sure the ground will have been plenty fast enough for him there. What i couldnt tell from the TV pictures is whether he was wearing the padded ring bridle thingy that he started wearing last year (like when he won at Market Raspberry) to such good effect. It wasnt obvious if he was. Could I ask you if it was on and if not will he have it back on for the Ces, assuming he's going to run.? Many thanks.
