Beatrice Aurore (3f Danehill Dancer-Mondschein, by Rainbow Quest) is on target for the G1 Oaks at Epsom after a taking victory in the Listed Height of Fashion Stakes at Goodwood on Wednesday.

Home-bred by Abba’s Benny Andersson, the improving filly had won a handicap at Goodwood on her previous run and trainer John Dunlop is now considering a Classic tilt after this length and a half victory.

Dunlop’s son Ed trained Snow Fairy to win the Goodwood contest last year before she went on to win the Oaks at Epsom.

"You couldn’t be more impressed by the way that Beatrice Aurore won," said John Dunlop. She’s got a bit of class. It wasn’t a very fast run race early on but she settled well and has acted on the track both time she has run at Goodwood and has got out of trouble twice. I think this filly will stay as well.

"If she was my horse she’d run in the Oaks and I suspect the owner would like to too and come over for the race. He might even sing a song if she wins!"
