The trainer reckons Pour Moi's style of racing will be suited to the French Derby and with Carlton House easily the best intodays race having Recital to beat at Epsom surely this looks a great double.

John Magnier is a big fan of the Epsom Derby Coolmore are known for firing many bullets at it.... so I'd hold fire just yet until targets have been confirmed.

I wouldn't rush into it...his price will be similar come race day.... 8s on here now probably couple points shorter come race day. but you know he's a def runner then....I think Wonder of Wonders has a huge chance also in the Oaks...and AP knows after 2day where he stands with the Godolphin filly...In the Derby I be very afraid of stoute...some man to improve them and have them spot on on the day,,Carlton Hse 4me

im def gonna lay carlton house at the present price..for what it has done and looking at its pedigree its a def lay at its current price.i also think that recital will improve a lot(itl have to).i heard they are very happy with it since its last race, but as you say it wont be any shorter than 5s/11/2 on the day..and you are sure of a run.im not sure bout the oaks to be honest.wonder of wondrs has gone up the grades very fast..no long ago it was beaten in an ord race...but it has the pedigree for sure

Cleared 3.25k on the race today though not the best result. With a better ride and Pour Moi in the French Derby, Carlton House would have won today. Pour Moi would have won the French .. my judgement was spot on however running plans are never certain.

Keep trying mugs.

Pour Moi won despite the track and would have been more suited to the French Derby, his ability won him it today as he was totally unsuited to the track.

I did back him in the right race there was never a market for the French Derby. 20s, 10s, 5s

"Pour Moi won despite the track and would have been more suited to the French Derby"
even though the French Derby is 2f shorter and it took all of the 1m 4f for him to get up LaughLaughLaugh

tenacity and i differ on may views, but on this one i feel he could not have summed it up better. essentially he picked 2 horses, 1 right, 1 wrong. he picked the right horse for the wrong race, if he did 2 singles both would have lost. but eric being eric miraculously had the winner backed at sky high prices. then miraculously aftertimes  a punt(never sure ive spelt that right when refferring to Eric) '20s What a prize tw@t.

20, 16 and 14 now gone.

12/1 top price...personally didn't think Seville ran too badly at all but the market seems to think PM is more likley to travel post-Dante than he was before the race?

Meanwhile, doubts have surfaced over whether French challenger, Pour Moi - as low as 8-1 for the Investec-supported race - will make it to Epsom.

"I will talk to the owners and make a decision in the next week, but the Dante winner was impressive," said Pour Moi's trainer, Andre Fabre.
