Well done Carol Weatherall. What a fabulous boost for the kennel whose big wins haven't been plentiful in recent seasons.

Remember Three Ems? The Boonmeister received a quite ridiculous sum for her from the Bubbly team. She has had a litter to Bubbly Firebird and one of them, Young MIllie went in an A10 today. No open racer there then.

anyone watching crayford this afternoon...will be interesting to see what skead honey (5) does in the 540m...(3.47 race).....looks like a fighter over the sprint... Winja • March 23, 2024 3:53 PM GMT lets see what the judge says but was looking over at trap 6 around the 5th....dangerous game with this dog over the trip.... they got a couple of wins out of the four 540 runs but red carded today.....trainer was foolish to put this dog further.... |

agreed ,,,skeard homey had had precvious

looks like the greyhound shortage is back in earnest at crayford....only two 6 dog races on the card and we have a period between race 7 and 9 where we have a 4 dog..3 dog then 4 dog race....with one trainer with three of the four dogs in the 4.16.....
|
|
By:
6 meetings a week when there's enough dogs for 4
|
|

there are a few old catford boys on here and open followers who would remember the flying four john humphreys would arrange once a year as an unusual spectacle for the public to enjoy.....move forward to now with two thursday....three yesterdaay....and four today...the unusual has become the norm...any non-runners and we are in match race teritory....as wonders points out above surely they need to lose a meeting until they can increase the trainer strength....
|
|
By:
Yes I remember the " Flying Four. "
It certainly had the novelty factor as if any non runners on a graded card there was nearly always a reserve available to step in. I seem to recall Farncombe Black won it in the same year as winning the Scurry, 1988. |

i wonder if the talking presenters on pgr are told to promote the rags.....along with the usual b0llox i have noticed a real trend recently.....tanya was talking up the 6 dog in the last at crayford....was 20's clipped into 16 and she was promoting the dog in casts......was 30 on here and beat 100 yards last.....

There is value in certain outsiders in races at certain tracks to be fair not to mention two particular trainers at your fav track winja.
Thats over the past ten years, we are talking 5%-7% p a after commission if you can be bothered setting a bot ! |

You would Imagine one track in the UK would run a a few weeks of Decent open saturday afternoon Cards Jan/ Feb to cover Cancelled horse racing , like back in the Day
Would be a good Advert for the Sport , But then with the Wokery going on would ITV cover it ? Harringay used to be great in the day , But of Course PC would now be involved |
