As said on other thread Irish, the gbgb guideline is for a max 33 degrees celsius and tracks should be acting accordingly with the forecast for where they are.

Yes thats all well and good
But some people survive better in the heat
Just like some greyhounds do I am sure
So why push an average temperature
On all the greyhounds
I would like to seethe researchbehind that 33 c figure

Hove go ahead with tonight's card.

Currently 29C on the South coast there, must have been a marginal call to stage the meeting I would have thought. I think the sensible decision would have been to abandon it.
If it were upto me I wouldn't race.

even though trainers are expected to have air conditioned vans......the decision is not purely on track temperature at time of racing....travelling should also be a consideration and since the government has issued an amber warning i agree slippy it should be off......

Saw on the news yesterday a dog rescued after being locked in a car. These people are simply too stupid for words and have no right to be owning a dog.
