Yer you have laff at lemon Reuben running an tight track like henlow

And at Towcester can’t run a bend at all

Also the race after that you had 4 dogs running and challenging off the 4 th bend

At Towcester most times you have 2 dogs at that 4 th bend fall over one another and bump

For me, the Greyhound Derby at Towcester in June was the best I have ever attended, the atmosphere was electric and the stadium is now by far the best in Britain.

Is Stan Kennett Taking the Pish ,Being he must have attended many at the City how can he make that Statement , BOOTHBY MUST BE HANDING OUT LARGE BROWN ENVOLOPES ..  He also seems to think more than 2 runs in a week would be OK  for graders , For what reason ? To fill bookmaker Cards  ?

The Derby has gone from something that was the Highlight of My year , to something  that I could not
Give a flying if it was on or not .

That is just an absolute croc of you know what.

He must be on LSD of something similar because that statement is nonsensical.
I have been to Towcester and as a dog man, like we all are on here, for well over 40 years, I vowed that night I would never go again. It was a truly dreadful experience to put it mildly never to be repeated.

KENNETT must be in his late 70’s ?

I wonder how often he goes racing nowadays, I wonder what different tracks he’s been to in the last say decade?

How can he make a comparison?

I’ve been to Towcester once, it was ok (being generous)

Would I want to be there when it’s full of gobby cockneys, pi$$ed up,morons with no socks on and the price of admission inflated to pay for a poxy tribute band, not on your life would I.

Slippy.....I noticed you mentioning Dulwich recently and wondered if you knew Rodwell Road East Dulwich. My grandmother lived there in her early years and I wouldn't know the area at all.

Extraordinary statement  by Stan , A man involved in the Game for so long ,He may well have enjoyed his Evening at Tow but to say it was better than Any derby at the City , He is either Lying or has lost the plot .

I had to look that road up Sparrow but I know that area well as it's only a mile from me.  The main road in East Dulwich being Lordship Lane and it's just off there.

It's an extremely desirable place to live and has a very vibrant community spirit feel to it. Like many places in South London, say Stockwell & Kennington as well for example, these areas have totally had a boom period property wise in the last couple of decades and are of a premium price wise. The proximity of highly regarded schools and good train links being major factors in that of course.

Having said that it's not an area I tend to go to, parking is virtually impossible and the pubs typically are of that horrible " gastro" pub theme which is not for me at all.
Burger & chips and a pint would be a score, which is the norm, not that I drink anymore but it's all a pi&&take so I don't bother. A little bottle of diet coke ( my tipple) is £3.25.

You've got to laugh really!

Thanks slippy and I doubt it was so desirable when my grandmother lived there in the 1890s and they soon moved to Walthamstow by 1900. The family originally came fron Southwark.
