It's all a complete nonsense, although I will say this.
Last week I was actually in a betting shop, in Southend of all places. I was just killing time and did a couple of placepots earlier in the day so was checking up on them.
People WERE betting on these sprint races believe it or not and not only those but also Australian cherries as well. WTF!
I only knew this when a punter was cheering on trap 7 and I looked up to see the black jacket of 7 take the lead in the run in.

Oh and as an aside, when I went to use the loo it had ultra violet lights in them, I haven't seen those anywhere in South London shops for many a year. I spoke to the lovely manageress of the Corals about it and she told me all the betting shops have them and most of the pubs do as well.

I've hardly watched more than 4 heats of this years Derby. Can't take it seriously after White City and Wimbledon.

I didn't know that switch ,Running greyhounds solely for the Purpose of bookmaker profits is Unacceptable it undermines everything the sport should be about ..
