actually i said the same but on watching again the pup is 37 kilos plus and on the line.....which is the break in the rails....his head does look in front but because he is twice the size of 6 and 10 kilos larger than 2 his arse does look behind.....i would not mind seeing the print but in hindsight it looks the correct call.....

I’ve watched it back and frozen it several times.. from a stride either side of the gap in the rails where we all know the line is, they cannot possibly call that result. If no print forthcoming, we can draw our own conclusions as to why…

I agree with what you say regarding the print shown, the only problem being that print was taken nearer the pick up than the line. Very strange goings on, still everyone’s gotta eat. Be lucky..

Very difficult when there appears to be no winning line. Same at tuther crooks track Monmore. Clarification would be good but I would imagine the red circular crooks sign is the winning post as there is also one at Monmore but they're too big imo. Just sort a winning line on the tracks ffs and punters would have some sort of idea with regards to the result.

We have foooking hawk eye , VAR , the Nfl can project anything they want on to a Pitch among some of the Available tech ,
and we cannot have a winning line projected across 15 foot of sand PMSFL
Foooking unbelievable TBH ,Many Thousands of Pounds being bet on every race ,C'nts going on about Clocks the middle of the track , You cannot even see whats won the fooking Race
Shambolic .

This Particular race without a line, watching live it is impossible to see what has won IMO
How foooking hard can it be to project a line between two points on the screen , Even if only on the replay ,Does anyone actually care ?
If some of these results were called in other sports there would be Uproar .

PATHETIC , No other sport could Let this go on , Fook me we have swimming there is a line going up and down the pool ,How hard to make a line appear where the actual line is ? Its not much to ask ,If not live in the replay,Half the time there are problems even knowing where the Line is ..

Sadly case, the answer lies in races like this one at Crayford. For some reason, they need to be able to manipulate a result from time to time. They would lose that ability if proper technology was available at the finish.

Trainers are regularly fined or warned as to their future behaviour about dogs finding unacceptable lumps of time. Just read the GbGb two-weekly publication and you'll see the reports. But, as you rightly point out case it is the downright fraud and cheating of the public which goes on within the rules which continues to belittle the game and render any kind of serious punting pointless - unless you are somehow "in the know". As you say certain trainers have to be avoided because you simply don;t know what their dogs will produce from race to race. Certain pairs of trainers too. Then we get the races where trainers have three in the race - becoming much more prevalent at some tracks. And reserves?! The trainer I knew years ago used to lick his lips when one of his had to be scratched and another of his got in. He always got advance notice and he always went for a winning touch. We don;t get that information ( i.e. don;t know who trains the withdrawn dog ) so can;t make a judgement so any "reserve" race has to be dumped too - for me anyway. And so much more, all hidden within the so-called rules. Even in top grade open racing it is becoming a rarity that you can rely upon a dog to repeat a recent piece of form - when it is in a race where it should. We know it was always thus but to my eye it is now much, much worse. Which is why I now just look for place lays of shorties, or good value place bets and concentrate on them mainly. Be lucky.

Yes but it is all part and parcel of the same malaise. We all put up with it like we do because we have become so de-sensitised by it and the younger ones don;t want anything to do with the game because it has been allowed to sink into a mire of shabbiness aided and abetted by complacency. Add to that that the antis have won the public opinion battle - and they have - and the game is well and truly fecked.

Here;s a good example coming up at Towcester 8.43. Same trainer has two dogs boxed alongside each other. A recent form line says that the 2 should beat the 1 around and into the back straight but will it? The market at present has them as joints, nearer the start we'll see. The 2 fell last time out. If I was the trainer I'd key up the 1 for a good run, the opposite with the 2 and then argue that the dog lost its confidence with its recent fall hence its poor showing. And the red leads around and wins. Let's see.

I asked the question because of some very dubious results being called recently. After the 9-18 tonight there is proof that there is indeed something going on at the track. Are the staff prevented from having betting accounts..?

I don't see anything in the race itself but the decision is again open to doubt because of the lack of a line, even a virtual one, across the track. I have no idea where the finishing line is which is why I never - at least very rarely - get involved here. There are many horse racing tracks where it is unclear where the line is but they at least give us a bit of a clue with the short mown strip across the track. Even that is unsatisfactory at times. I can't see why they can't get in touch with the football authorities and ask them to advise on bringing in VAR optics and lines and instant pictures of same. The technology is there so invest in it.

Having listened to the racing manager on rpgtv, spoke to him as an owner for me he is a very fair man. If you study the form at crayford one can guarentee you can work out what they are at. Then you will make a profit but not until you have done the work. Only the ground fecks him.

The only track where I had a problem with the line was Henlow but never Crayford. There's no doubt in my mind that they made a mistake last week with that S8 race and it was clear to me that the finishing order was 3-4-6 after looking at those stills I made.
