Just imagine if these dogs and comp was at Wembley or Wimbledon how much excitement it would generate

It’s so sad to see all these cat 1 comps at the gaff

Traps are still so unpredictable

At Towcestor whatever leads off the first bend in the final will win

Will watch but ain’t having any bets in open races as started again in nov dec and as usual no good

It was HGS, one of my few visits to Wembley was a Blue Riband final night when Fearless Champ won. That was 1986, I had to look up the year, trained by Geoff Dr Mulder.

It was the days of John Power being the head honcho in the ring and Tom Jenkins was standing that night with his unmissable coat and huge Havana on the go as well of course. Seems like another lifetime ago now but I can remember being in complete awe at the whole occasion.

Same as you there R.A. I'll watch but no bets for me either.

To me the huge mistake is running Russian sammy in this company it’s got no chance

The only plus is it seems to trap at Towcestor whereas it’s does not at other tracks

But then gets badly outpaced down the back

Should have entered it in 575 m trip

If it runs Romford the 575 m trip would by idea, would have enough early and do around 35:00 ish

Will def watch save me from watching that lot from the funny side V Leeds, pity they cant both lose.

Getwiththetimes 2/1 both top 3 ...... Can get 100s Getwiththetimes  3 qualify comp could be hard to knock out ,1st 4 in the final Had couple of quid ew  .. think 11 wides in comp hopefully get rid of a few today

Can’t see frosty getting in first three

You’re only hope is trap 4 pings out moves inwards and hampers trap 3 straight away

Made frostys 1-100 on down the back to make 3rd from where it turned

I thought Chelms won the Last race wasn't watching the Front , PMSFL  only slip put the TC up I would still have thought 5 won

I agree.  The 5 a very, very good dog.  Firmager must be creaming himself at having such a good one.  Bred himself.

Well I did manage to watch the heats, inbetween everything else going on today and I have to say that the "I'll never have a bet again at that place" pledge I took remains rock solid. It's a truly horrible gaff.

the track is wrong as most agree but the man running it is really trying to promote the dying sport fair play
to denigrate an effort without such input would add to the demise is mind blowing the game is on its knees
oh and the lack of punctuation is most deliberate

I agree 100 per cent you he puts so much time and effort in making Towcester work

It’s just a real shame that at the start of the project he should have spent probably one to two weeks in time and cost 50 to 100 k ( just my guess) in running a new hare system and rail

To do this properly it was not rocket science, all he had to do was get some old plan photos of Coventry track

Put into autocadd scale it correctly and just base/copy the inside / outside circumference including the hare rail as well as the straight lengths

Have a 490 m trip identical to Coventry and all greyhound fans would have worshipped KB, but afraid he made a mess of designing the new track layout which produces boring uncompetitive racing in which you ain’t in first two positions early on you got no chance of winning

I don't like locking horns with you but that;s absolute bowlucks.

The Coventry Template we got the Lot , The 8 dog chinese business kyboshed that , not sure if they could have started from scratch again , Can't knock kevin ,Just a shame the track is what it is ,Awful lot of the racing is Indian file and Tbh boring to watch ..

You could not have got two better Draws Shrop ,anyone favour anything in the Quarters ?

Brent also looks Plotted and Azurra will be very short imo ,anyone priced up Yet ?

The gaffs impossible shrop tbh ,Certainly all well drawn , That graded race sums the place up Dog cant lead does Race over jim daley spotted its leader potential on the Video of its last race ,Where it showed nil up and would have turned last if 3 dogs had not fell over .Not sure

FALCON & CANDY MAN both through

Considering this is his track the FALCON does seem to have lost a bit of zip right now.

He’s in good hands though, bloke that has him is as good as anybody, no surprise to see him bounce back next time or in the final.

It went the way of the CANDY MAN, still a good run though on a track that suits him too.

Not lover rd there but the dog got beat by forest dog cos drawn wrong side
The dog last week stopped possibly the best young dog with up getting a run
Today it got everything in favour to clear the inside
Just want sub 4.20

Got oats ew Ante but can’t have it on last week effort thought it stop to nothing rd last bend grovelled in 4 dog race
Runs like it did first rd I have jools on it in that second semi

A fantastic first race , Plenty of aggro,  2 on chance quickly dispatched

I also like PERFECTO STORM based on his draw today, he still has to pop out though

I like CANDY MAN as I think he has a potentially good make up too.
