To be honest I never back dogs coming from a layoff whether
Just resting and returning Coming back from season - firm believer in the 4 month rule If dropped say by 2 or 3 grades then you might catch them lucky at 12 to 13 weeks, then go backward again Or coming back from being lame which that trap 6 was |

I'm the same as you there R.A.
Even if I think something has got a good chance on paper but coming back for whatever reason I'll leave the race alone. Also " off colour" is a red flag to me as well. I'm not sure that term is even on the racecards these days but at Catford and Wimbledon it used to appear fairly often. |
