Some of these front markers are given no chance whatsoever by the handicapper. The 1 dog in the 8.12 was off 12m and couldn't have won it off 20m and that was the price on betfair as well.
now wheres that switch!!! 30 Oct 20 21:57 That’s why they have a lay button on the site isn’t it..?
That is not the point and you know it or do I have to spell out the principle of a handicap to you?

The idea of a handicap in theory being no different to the usual graded fair.... to have them all finish in a heap. But plenty of graded racers are given just as little chance as some of the front ( or back markers in a certain tracks case) in handicaps. Just look at the price volatility on here in the last 30-45 seconds. It’s a sad case at present that the game has headed in the wrong direction but we have what we have. I’m relation to the comment regarding “ good luck laying 20’s a front runner” I will happily lay 20’s if I make it a 50’s poke.... be lucky all

Greyhounds run in a particular grade as their form is supposed to justify it mainly by it's latest times. In the case of a handicap some of these front markers can be off at least 5 metres less than their latest form suggests they ought to be and are just there for nuisance value with no possible chance of winning.

Far to often all over UK see hcap favs evens...what is the point in a hcap.
Should be seeing 5/2 favs in these races at a push for me or the grader not doing the job, a little different where red can receive a maximum start but its often actually the inverse of what you have said and the red is the even money poke from what I have seen.

Thinking back the fairest handicaps and best for punters was when Crayford put them on in the 80s and 90s. Unfortunately the locals never appreciated what they had there and it was a very sad day when they disappeared from view.
