skyline storm runs at nott in 7.26

Back in the 70s my mate and I bought a dog that Eric Vose at Catford was getting rid of called Scooby (we had dogs with Paddy ) for £50 and thought we would take him to Portsmouth where we had a dog with Mick Puzey .He had a 35.50 somewhere on his cv though it might have been a solo and  nothing in races for ages . He had a couple of trials and was put in an S3 , Mick had another dog in the race which was ' expected ' to win so ours had no preparation the week before . In the race he blasted out , waited , led , waited but luckily had his head in font at the line (but giving the impression he could have won half the track). Needless to say Bill Francis the racing manager told us to get our kin dog away from his track !!
