Alan Speechley passed away peacefully in a care home on Monday 4th May 2020. He started in 1966 with one betting office, then expanded into on-course betting and loved the thrill of being on the racecourse. He became a vibrant member of the betting ring and Peterborough Greyhounds, where the Alan Speechley Fengate Collar is one of the longest-running greyhound events. He leaves behind a wife, Judy and son, Robert, and daughter Joanne.
