I went to Wandsworth dogs one night, I think it must have been in 1966 and there was a 12 race card. If I remember, it was p1ssing with rain so I backed outside traps. Unbelievably there were 9 trap 1 winners, which surely must be a world record.

If it was a 12 race card then it must have been a Bank Holiday as there was an 8 race limit in the 60s except for Bank Holidays and the Derby meeting.

remember going to Wimbledon one Friday it was pouring all day long the 1 won the first six races that was an 8 race card circa 77-78

If it was freezing at the Don often favoured the Rails , When it was pishing Down at the city

Heavy rain at Clapton was brilliant for the wides and you wouldn't look at anything else.
