Remember not that long ago when Harry Findlay was banging the drum incessantly about the 10% tote take out from the pools at newly reopened Lifford Stadium?
You could bet direct into the pools from all Tote outlets and it was going to reinvent the sport with huge pools attracting punters from here there & everywhere. So with nowt better to do I had a quick look last night to see how things were going. 18.00 Lifford --------------------------------------------- Win/Place pool - €905.17 Exacta pool - €208.96. Trifecta pool -€170.69 Oh well, it was always a big odds against to succeed but at least he gave it a go I suppose. The younger generations are simply not interested in most forms of gambling and greyhounds in particular. |
