If you follow @nottingham_dogs on twitter, they have been brilliant at getting the results, trial details, advance cards, non runners etc out within minutes of being available. One of the positive aspects of this years Derby, how they have embraced social media

Track can only put out what's entered. It's a shame the card is what it is, but maybe the £750 prize money has gone against them. Can't have a go at Starsports, because without them there probably wouldn't be a Derby, but the prize momey is something to look at again next year.

Stepping up in trip. 750yds Cork as far as she's been. Good 4 bend Notts trial for a stayer. Prominent but 905m a long way
Might find the English duo a bit stern To answer Nanny's question, I'd hazard a guess at 7/4 the field for you Sparrow What do you think? |

I would agree it’s a poor card for a Derby final card but, in the style of Royal Ascot and the Cheltenham Festival, I’ll be involved on all 15 races in variied stakes. 14 bets to place plus the antepost on Logan.
Had three bets already on the card: 7:39 - Puppy Trophy - Ice on Fire @ 8/15 & Sparta Master @ 12/1 - Former should win but the latter is a huge price. 8:15 - Stayers - Savana Volt @ 8/1 - Unlucky at 5th bend but one to take out of the heats. Ridiculous price at 8s. 8:51 - Plate - Wolfe @ 6/4 - I’ve managed to get some 6/4 on what looks like an Evens chance in a frankly awful race. Derby Plate final and yet terrible. |

What if Fire On Ice goes on to win the Puppy Derby, Antigua Fire (as well as others) Golden Jacket, Maggie/Brigadier or Stardom St Leger, Tree Top Jet National Sprint, Totos Park 600yds Night Of Stars, Savana Winner TV Trophy. Would it still be a poor card then? |

Fair play woody gone early with his selections, haven’t done the whole card yet but will back Rox Jim, am already on bale for derby and thought 1 wasn’t a bad draw (I know a lot disagree) what price will totos park be ? Good luck to all playing and those going, hope it’s a top night. For me this is still the best sport in the world, the game is not exactly setting the world alight but you have to try and enjoy what we do have I suppose

The favourite in race 2 is 6/5 with hills but 9/4 with Bet365. Its like they’re looking at different races. |

Wouldn't have said 2/1 trapper and 4/1 totos myself. Don't think trapper firing and totos good chance on last effort. Books must think totos won't run notts again but well worth the risk, imo
