Gary I used to bet with you at Milton Keynes, you stood next to Del Burrows back in the day and say an evening at M.K. like The Summer Cup final night for example was such a buzzing occasion and hugely enjoyable, win, lose or draw. I miss the game a lot but apart from a few visits to Hove for a night out I really don't bother much these days.

We all looked up to Lionel,and he knew all the form about dogs all over Midlands and elsewhere at a time when you had to travel  to obscure places.
He knew what a good time was at others tracks, and didn't get it wrong vero often.
Later in life I even saw him with a woman at the horses,a right turn up for the books that was.

I remember the seafood bar at M.K. very well Gary and I always used to have some grub there! You would know me if you saw me most definitely, I bet with you at Epsom as well when you stood there and we would have a chat. You would recognise me and next time our paths cross I'll have a coffee with you most definitely mate.I live in Dulwich Village now Gary and only go to Plumpton, Fontwell and Sandown mainly for a day out. Mike, that doesn't ring any bells with me mate but no doubt we would have stood next to each other on the terraces at some point many times, I hardly missed a meeting at Catford for 25 years so I'm sure you would have been there for the Boxing Day marathon, as I always was. We were usually in and out straight after the race, Slippy althoughI lived in MK for 30 years.

slippy blue i had a big odds on in marathon at catford and they back another greyhound in race from 33/1 to about 7/1 might have been a bigger or shorter mine got beat a long way john humpheys thought the mine was crooked it was not i had mine in paper bets i dont think he ever put the money up for another marathon at catford

Yours was, I think, Miss Microchip (4/11 Fav) the winner was the local Catford grader, Ferryforth Susie, opened up 200/1 and returned 150/1. Humphries went absolutely mental as lots of tenners and scores were on the Catford dog from the locals and he refused to pay out for ages as he thought your dog was a non jigger!!
