Only going to be an average competition if tomorrow's two trial stakes races are anything to go by Plain

Will be so suited to the track. Trap draws are evrything tho. Like any other big race draw is vital.

Private, i stay down in England now and
Have only been to shawfield a few times.
Do you agree it's a track that you definitely need a look round first.?
I won't go near anything that hasn't, aeroplane or not.Happy

I,ve worked for all the top trainers. Imo dont matter what track. If ur serious about winning any comp round any track u av to trial. Simple as that. Maybe on another thread but  ballymac ruso who was a proper dog come shawfield completely missed corner.  Rabs dog supposed to be comin an he,s as fast as anything in country at moment. He will be vulnerable first time without a look. Very tricky first bend. U get wrong dogs about you an ur not coming back.

Only one from four Irish Favourites went in in the first round last year – Coolavanny Mason at Evens.  Good News ran an absolute stinker in the first heat, falling out then meeting trouble and going down at 4/7.  Jet Stream Larry at 6/4 went down ( and out ) in 5th place and Hot Trend at 5/4 did much the same ( 4th ).  Dorotas Woo Hoo then stunned the Irish in the second round when coming from behind and going by Good News with ease in their semi.  So laying the Irish at Shawfield might be the thing again.

Wonder how long it will take for the first of the bookie chappies to stick there head above the parapet with the ante post prices.

Not been through races but don't think they will be giving much away with Bruisers Bullet and King Turbo. My mates Derby dog Forest West could be prominent too. Bull Run Button had a certain Droopys Expert behind when winning the Juvenile and a much better winner than Murrys Act. Don't think Droopys Cymbals has raced for a long time but once looked a flying machine. Dorotas Woo Hoo didn't make it but I'd respect Vic. Calicos could figure along with Maireads Spring and The Other Reg, too. Wonder if the winner's there?! Laugh

Imperative u stay shawfield. Long way home from 2nd bend. Cab ride from last bend. Done a lot of work on it already.Theres a dog i think maybe key to finding winner. Need prices.

Have you given the game away, Private? There's one that obviously stays!

I'll go with Wuheida who ran a brilliant prep. in the Juvenile.  480 looks her ideal trip and if she can keep showing that sizzling early it'll have to be a very good one to catch her.  Gutsy and game with a touch of class. I don't know if she is kennelling up here for the comp. but I would imagine so.

Out of curiosity, what sort of record do bitches have in the Scottish Derby?
By:

When: 27 Mar 18 12:18
Honcho,s the judge imo she is the key to the race for me. I cant c the favs getting her b4 3rd corner which is notorious at shawfield. Imo she will be vulnerable to a late closer on run in.

Could be worth bearing in mind her conqueror and another bitch Button was bought as a stayer
