There was talk of them doing something to try make it more of a level playing field, but apart from digging the track up and redesigning it I can't imagine anything that would make much difference. I take it Ackerman was responsible for hiring whoever did the design, if so how he is still in a job must be down to a close relationship with Lord Hesketh... As a punter you just have to move with the times and adapt to things and from a punting point of view I don't care about the Towcester track issue but from a greyhound racing fan/purist point of view I can see this years Derby turning into a farce, the first handicapped Derby in history and Towcester have got the contract for it already in place for a few years after this as well. I genuinely hope I'm wrong but I can see it now, 6 railers in the final and it turning into a comedy show.
They wont do anything to the track. Restaurant might get a lick of paint. Heard someone say the facilities are top class.Think iv'e heard that a thousand times.

Wimbledon's track was as fair as any track I've ever seen. It was just plain stupid and false economy not to provide decent facilities. But unfortunately the only people who cared were the proper greyhound people.

they haven't done anything, they just grade the wide dogs favourably to get them to win their share and make sure the track is well watered (a good thing)
open races are a completely different story and long term we will be looking at %s similar to the record the wide dogs had in 400m opens @ rommers when they had the old boxes albeit it will be for different reasons
in my opinion obviously
