anyone know when is the draw for final ?
|
|
By:
1. Geelo sapphire
2. Ballymac Ramsey 3. Shaneboy Freddie 4. Droopys Live 5. Saffrons Tina 6. Swift Hansel Love geelo draw got trap hold It's self on the rail where see what happens Ew part what I'm hoping for |
|

Tough draw for Droopys Live. I don't think she will be odds-on as predicted by Woody.

bet365 go;
1. Geelo sapphire 10 2. Ballymac Ramsey 7/4 3. Shaneboy Freddie 8 4. Droopys Live 5/4 5. Saffrons Tina 14 6. Swift Hansel 7 swift hansel is a nice price for a dog that will definitely stay 660.....tina is strong enough over 600 and with the early pace inside I can easily see the fav beat....generally evens I would be a layer....... |
|
By:
Just glad Droopys Live not inside Ramsey who emptied quickly 630m Monmore so no idea how he will get the much stiffer 660m. Safari, Live could still be a shade of odds-on at the track
. Winja 6 bends Sheff Hansel the limit. Live strong to the pick up four bends and sure will be strong business end. Sensible thing to do just lay my stake off. We'll see |
|

I find that comment strange woody because all droopys live wanted to do was rail....in fact she tried to undertake at the third and again approaching the last which is why she is a lay with me......perhaps she is a quick learner and overtakes next time but with the pace and railers inside not sure how she will get a run....sometimes it is frightening just how quick dogs empty and tina and hansel will not be stopping......I will lay to lose a bag of sand.....

Hello everyone, first post. I have got my interest back in greyhound racing after a long long lay off. I have backed Saffrons Tina to win outright at each stage of the competition. I would be feeling a lot better now if I had gone e/w but have always had an aversion to e/w betting ante post. Tina has performed well at Romford over 575m clocking the 5th best time this year, behind other Mark Wallis runners Romanov and Razzle and looks as if she will get 660m. Not sure what to make of Droopys Live; she has a few finished well and ran on comments in her history and I really liked the way she made the best of a really bad manoeuvre when checking and pulling out wide of Shaneboy Freddie. Both have a tough draw though. Ramsey is expected to fade but could have a very good lead and he should cause problems for trap 1. The danger for me is Swift Hansel, can definitely stay and had a good run in the semi. Just to let you know, I am a member of the Mark Wallis racing club, so you could read this as wishful thinking or biased claptrap but 16/1 looks a fair bet. All the best.

Myself and a few others on here that post sparingly these days are on Tina as well from before the semi finals, gl

Winja, Ballymac Ramsey makes a bee-line for the rails when drawn out wide and if Droopys Live had been on his immediate inside, it could have put them both out of the race. Even now from T2, Ramsey seems sure to squeeze Geelo Sapphire up on the rails. Live has shown Derby speed over four bends but convinced her future lies over longer. Relatively smooth passage, she wins end of imo
|
|
By:
Droopys Live would be a very large payout but still a bit cheesed off never got a run out of Oscar Whisky (Arc) for the jackpot
|
|
By:
woody ramsey is a railer of course he makes for the rails but at Sheffield so is live...in my opinion live will not get a relatively smooth passage and that is the rub.....i hope it cops for you its all about opinions.......this thread is starting to reflect some actual content......ease off the large payout comments and bad luck stories......they are becoming a bit of a joke now......we know you play small...no shame in that.....but stop trying to convince people you are winning significant amounts like a pro punter......

Fair enough Winja but don't see the harm in giving my odd max bets a mention. Majority of dogs I put up in my write ups just for a little interest. Think you deserve to know the difference

Warning - Wednesday at home next Tuesday. If youre going, the advice is to get there early
|
|

Trying to find a way to get there and back from London. The decent trains back home end early or take 6 hours. Best I can find is getting a coach at 1.30am from Sheffield...pretty grim. Any ideas of other routes?

woody its like touching the cup on the way out mate....its unlucky.........we know your excited....we know you have a 7/1 shot at evens....but stop running around with your pants on your head.....its not home yet brother.....get you stake back along with another fiver for a pint and a gloat and enjoy the race......it will probably be me your trading with.....then I can run around with my pants on me head....

Mutley, I'd try to get two or three of you to share petrol money and drive straight up the M1. Should be fine unless you cant drink, being the designated driver!

Could be a very good card next Tuesday. Oscar Whisky clocked a rapid 28.33 in a trial over 500m yesterday (Chopchop Mabel a very average 16.30 over 280m) but tonight, Ballymac Mossjoe and Hiya Butt have spins round two bends. Times calculated

Just seen card and quite keen
Dorotas Woo Hoo goes in a puppy race, Rubys Rascal tackles dodges Pointless Pearl and Swift Burn in the stayers, Lissom Sheldo and Ela Genie in sprint, interesting puppy cup final, Candlelight Fire against Calco Flyer in the British bred, Oscar Whisky takes on Tynwald Baz, then the big final Non-Sky later good dogs like Ballymac Mossjoe and Dorotas Hooligan running |

Calco another trap one draw

|

Might see how fast the dodge is now with how draw worked out
Got two play races ( prices dependent as allways )interesting final to watch |
|
By:
I'm going, having to stay the night though, no way to get home same day without max hassle.

Card doesn't look easy to me. Two tricky sprints (duplicated) and Rubys Rascal got a couple of spoilers to deal with in the stayers. True Geelo Monty will go off a hot potato in the British Bred puppies but wouldn't want to be taking too short a price. Torn between Calco Flyer (old stager running magnificently) and local champion Candlelight Fire (although he would prefer a much wider draw). Over a cliff with Oscar Whisky and his race is no penalty kick either very useful and fav of mine Tynwald Baz and Juvenile winner Murrys Act in opposition. Staying after the final for some decent looking races

Ain't nothing worse than a spolire ! Mess around
With jolly backers muti crew after easy pickings ! |

What price Droopys Live at the off tomorrow? 7/4, 2/1, When Victor Chandler is the biggest price in the village at 6/4 you know its only going one way.
|
|
By:
365 very similar to my tissue. Rascal shade shorter than I thought and Pearl a tad bigger. Had slightly less to choose between Candle and Calco. Murrys Act fraction bigger than I thought, whereas Barney shorter. Liking one not mentioned so far but waiting to see if I can get even larger!

Can't wait for Ruby's
To blast out make the running Can't believe them make the trolley 8s either My play anyway ! Played 5 ew 7.11 20s 1234 all going for the same ground 8.16 emperor 10s puppy Race 345 step right But 1-2 seem not up to job emperor shown plenty of pace In heat and semi price as juice Like one more off sky and bags T1 final ew 1-4 to hard imo |
|
By:
Fatty, my mate owns Emperor but he cant see it winning. Last run was unrecognisable compared to previous form and may have been a fluke, usually tapped for toe, in trouble. Will get my token support though, hoping friend cops for £4k winning prize. Suppose anything can happen in puppy races
Opened a Black Type account just to back 2/1 apiece Candlelight Fire and Oscar Whisky, plus the 8/1 double - my only major bet of the night apart from Droopys Live antepost. Fire edge off but can race neck and neck with Calco (3rd in last September's Steel City Cup over course and distance) with Fire just gaining the upper hand. Whisky frustrating but half reasonable break can see him return to winning ways. Tynwald Baz (runner up to Pinpoint Den in the previously mentioned Steel City Cup) looks sure to be prominent throughout but the 500m stretches him a touch Rubys Rascal has clear cut winning form over both four and six bends round here but with scrappers Pointless Pearl and Swift Burn in opposition, race could get messy which wont help Rascal's cause. Disagree Fatty, don't think he will fly out like he can, but I could be wrong. Even if he does, others may show fighting pace chasing him. Little bets the quirky pair at 8/1 apiece anyway Small bet 4/1 Lissom Sheldo. If only he could gain some consistency at the start... Good luck! |

Heat and semi are very different runs
But one thing for sure he showed pace in both Puppy's take weeks months to click 10s was fair price On them two runs , With pointless need somethink to go clear So she can chase down ![]() |
|
By:
After Sky, didn't reckon there would be a difference of 5/4 Aayamza Breeze and 7/2 Fearsome Solar, so gone with the latter
Would be nice to see Mossjoe on the scoresheet Think 7/4 Hooligan will run a big race but worthy opponents in the shape of Knockard Spring and Lightfoot Mikel. Glenpadden Rock never the dog he was after breaking a hock |
