i know changes to the rules again from last year so would advise check them before you play
By:
really looking forward to this years event, have had a little antepost bet on hove ew with sitters considerably weaker for the loss of frank gray and rommers weakened with the loss of jimbo in their group I fancy them to qualify from the group quite strongly.
By:
looks like they are relying on claude for the visit to crayford
By:
romford got the friday opens which hurt them don't like the team for crayford thursday
By:
nice elite 540m race
By:
hove and poole using 2 trainers for crayford only hope the trainers get more diesel money this year it's a long way from poole
By:
yeh some nice dogs that elite race doc, nice to see addy have some runners n all for the forum to cheer

By:
Trust me Towcester have to much in the locker and a cracking bet to retain the title
By:
Towcester aren't even a BAGS track, farce!
By:
True Woody...I suppose they are in as they the defending champs
With Wallis and Sutton who would oppose them Best to check rules as Doc Says first |
By:
its a weak group but hove barely took part last year
also when they made the final the previous year I was on them e/w and they were woeful on finals day ![]() I'm massively pro this comp but the format is so disappointing...it just goes on and on and on and on and on like woody boring as feck it needs to be bang bang bang, 5 weeks of qualifying, every group completing a leg in a week also a straight knockout comp to begin with please, that way eliminate the tracks that can't be arsed with this comp and believe me there are a few |
By:
cray 64 rom 45 poole 36 sitters 31 hove 20
hove have got a lot of work on to qualify from there |
By:
Problem for Hove is every year its Romford Crayford and Poole which are tracks just not suited to the majority of Hove dogs and its probably difficult to coerce owners and trainers into taking decentish dogs to run at these gaffs
By:
yep that is a factor but they have been woeful at sittingbourne as well
realistically how many trainers at hove have got genuine minor open race dogs in their kennel?? bar CG I can't see too many |
By:
If you want to get in the Towcester camp, you can have 3/1 with Billies now
By:
Most of the hove trainers can't be arsed travelling
And reckon the whole bags comp is a total farce Which it is tbh |
By:
You can have 7/2 Towcester now
Belle Vue play host to Kinsley, Newcastle, Sheffield and Sunderland, Wednesday Warm sunny day forecast, so going for the couple of hours while inter-track on All bets small just for something worthwhile to watch. Would be happy with small profit on even breaking even 2.18 (Youngsters) Apostle 2.37 (Standard) Ballymac Sheehy 2.57 (Sprint) Geelo Gaga 3.17 (Dogs) Ballymac Rio 3.38 (Stayers) Geelo Bullet 3.58 (Bitches) Russanda Roslea 4.18 (Elite) Unlikely Turbo Good luck! |
By:
ONE winner for Belle Vue?
You traitor. |
By:
No room for sentiment with your money, Wales
Think Vue's best hopes: 2.37 Flamboyant (T4) 3.17 Ballymac Jack (T5) 3.38 Aclamon Dodo (T4) But they all looked boxed up and only went for Unlikely Turbo coz of the price, 10/1 Obviously, would like to see Vue do better than I expect though, so not so much a traitor |
By:
3 out of the first four winners were Belle Vue hounds.
By:
Now 4 out of the first 5 are Belle Vue dogs and all Woody's "Vue's best hopes" have obliged.
You just need to able to read between the lines................ |
By:
Belle Vue 5 winners from the 7 contests, including Flamboyant doing 27.47, which has only been bettered once in the last 3 years.
Tragically to take the shine of it all, Notanothercowboy broke a hock in the Dogs 470. |
By:
Just shows you the ups and downs of greyhound racing. The Joy Andrew's camp was delighted with Flamboyant beating the smart Ballymac Sheehy in a flying time, then the sad broken hock to Northern Flat finalist Notanothercowboy. Hope he's going to be okay
By:
Pitiful effort from Hove yesterday and they might as well send out all the A11 dogs for the last two legs
By:
Yes I went they were very poor
![]() They have quite a few trainers and dogs now and racing is pretty competitive But nothing like the quality they used to have , it is just a BAGS track now, with a few open thrown in |
By:
Dean Childs has settled in at Crayford now, he wont come back, not that Crayford performed well either yesterday
Walk over for Romford that group. |
By:
west group looks like...
towcester 221 monners 212 HG 212 ![]() |
By:
according to bagsracing.com
IN the event that two teams are equal on points at the end of the group heats, the team with the greater number of Group winners will be declared the group winner |
By:
if my maths is right HG are 2nd with 10 wins, monners have 9
whether that's enough for them to make the final will depend how brough get on at sheffield next week |
By:
brough and shef both qualified tonight so the final line up is
towcester notts posh rommers brough shef |
By:
They're basically betting 100% over-round on the winning track. Can't say fairer than that. Take your pick. Not looked at the card yet, but will be doing so. Always interesting Christmas time

By:
looking at the romford runners the rest must have to be a poor lot for romford to win
By:
Did me brains in on this last two years
Lots of outsiders win Bookies benefit Loads of dogs running with just one trial mass trouble and crowding that's why the bookies luv it |
By:
92.7% over-broke now. Gone with 9/2 Sheffield
![]() |
By:
Looks like everyone followed me in. 5/2 best Sheffield now!
![]() |
By:
shef 5/2
brough 7/2 towc 4/1 notts 10/1 rom 12/1 posh 20/1 betting to 92% so there is value there I've got romford e/w 10/1 and notts e/w 16/1 both 1st 4 so hoping for 3rd and 4th lol ![]() got stuff to do later so take it easy 1 and all and merry xmas to all the forum doggie boys they know who they are |
By:
Very nice concession in Ladbrokes shops today. Free bet up to £25 if your dog finishes second in any race at Perry Barr, so gone in on 4/1 Bramble Bruno
Strongly fancy 6/4 Geelo Bullet and 15/8 Droopys Five. Indeed, hoping the Geelo dogs earn good points to assist Sheffield winning outright A couple to outrun their large prices: 12/1 Cracker Joke (each-way) and 6/1 Vera Vang Good luck! |
By:
"Poor lot if Romford win." 2 out of 2!
![]() |
By:
Current betting after 3 races:
9/4 Sheff 4/1 Towc 9/2 Newc 7/1 Rom 12/1 Notts 66/1 Pet |
