Splits, Clares 5.10, Butt 5.20 but with the same breaks, will the former be able to hold the latter to the bend?
By:
Update:
5/4 Clares 2/1 Shay 9/2 Butt 14/1 Acrobat 33/1 Murrys 40/1 Astute |
By:
Clares still 5/4 best on the books, nearly all priced up but 7/4 available exchanges
By:
well overpriced on here imho
either makes all or follows one round to win |

Derby. Just marginally, but Clares Rocket getting progressively faster whereas Tyrur Shay progressively slower. Astute Missile was only a head behind Shay in the semis, so big price gulf 2/1 compared to 33/1
Plate. Happy with 10/1 apiece Graces Bluebird and King Kid. In fact gone in Kid again at 7/1, considering only beaten half length by Dorotas Wildcat in semis and now got his draw. Admittedly, Wildcat got the pace up and wins if leads but sometimes doesn't come away and Kid may not be quite so easy to pass early this time Stayers and British Bred. Wouldn't swop 8/1 Rubys Rascal and 6/1 Thinkingofdarcy Sprint and Hurdles. Will have to have a think now but got a couple of very large outsiders in mind |
By:
it's all about opinions
but Clares Rocket getting progressively faster whereas Tyrur Shay progressively slower. with rocket in 3 then I'm looking forward to either a) shay breaks as he did in second round in which case, race over b) butt leads rocket and shay picks them up at top of home straight |
By:
Shay and Murrys sure to be behind. If Shay wins, wont lead 'til close home if getting smooth passage. Sure Clares wins if reproducing semi effort
By:
Easy ain't it
By:
Cant see Butt winning. Only a head in front of Acrobat crossing line first time in semis and Astute actually clocked a quicker split!
By:
can I have a price Butt leads Missile?
By:
No, just saying Astute faster in the semis. That's not to say Butt wouldn't have been in front by the bend. Might not be too much in it on splits again?
By:
Acrobat as Nast tedncy to move off when draw inside
By:
Did ex owners of acrobat just give up on him ?

2 Questions to all. In a match race\ only the 2 dogs, who wins rocket or Shay,Shay for me. and which dog likeliest to get clean run in final ? Shay again for me,guess which dog I fancy?
By:
Far from easy, Fatty. Just the way I read the race
By:
Lemon, looks like youre leaning towards Murrys!

Weather forecast for Saturday: A dry day and night, bright in the afternoon. Pleasant, at 17 degrees centigrade (63 Fahrenheit). Moderate westerly breeze. Should be perfect for racing!

Card up and looks pretty damn good to me. Bluebird returns for the Anglo-Irish and good Invitation (Consolation really). Just not so keen on three 8-dog races (Dorando, Derby 480 and last race Super8 Stayers)

By:
Bubbly be happy that nut job on his inside too

What price Saturday's winner gains Greyhound of the Year award?

By:
Don't know the rules
Don't know why anyone would Try anythink during the Derby People just going make up there own mind on the matter Two weeks later his running back at towcester ? Play race for me waiting for prices |
By:
in all seriousness how does the muppet that is woodmanchester get so much air time on this media ?
drags the place down daily |
By:
if just one thread is worth re reading this one is it a certain poster makes it offers fantasy oh and bull all appear and somehow he has position I will be honest and tell you I ante post 4 dogs to win lets say a decent amount and not one made the semis
By:
case, as I recall the only reason the Derby final was ever set at 10.12 pm was to ensure, as far as possible, that as many punters stayed as late as possible and kept swelling the tote income - in other words to relieve punters of as much as possible on the night. There was nothing about the traditional off time that was designed to suit the racegoer!
By:
Loyal Honcho...............It's very simple in that you don't have the main event halfway through the proceedings. What time therefore should it be to "suit the racegoer"
