Just a heads up for anyone playing tonight that they'd done away with the 8 dog traps last weekend and are using the curved front (proper traps) and the traps are sited bang in the middle of the track.

fear not bg they know they've dropped a huge b0llock with this track, they just won't admit it, or at least haven't so far...at least this is a start

lets see if a 500 trip is created and the bends are tightened and banked then they have a chance of turning a mickey mouse crock of sh1te into a reasonably credible track

watched the show this morning...they said these are the 500 boxes and the current 480 boxes are just being refurbished

so basically the 8 dog sh1te is here to stay and now they have 2 types of boxes at the track and have 2 standard trips LaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaugh FCK OFF UTTER SH1THOLE

I've been told that the GBGB specified the minimum radius of the bends that were acceptable. Any new track (no chance, I know) would be built like Towcester, long bends and short straights, unless you had a standard of say 550.

minimum radius of the bends that is acceptable for new tracks...are they implying that some (most??) current tracks have an unacceptable design??

interesting moral stance

If they put in 500m traps and tighten track a bit would be an absolute no brainer.

Track needs something done ,u get the aerial view everything thing looks ok ,but its blatant bunny dog bias, the racing is actually boring Sad Look at the back 3 dogs 95% of races they go no where Plain 480 trip

If the derby is run at Towcestor in the future

As a watching spectator sport the game will be finished

It's an awful track which should be dug up and started again

Savva started to blown the tracks trumpet when it first opened

Then he must hsve released what a mess it is, this can ve backed up by his many runners he has st the track

Also according to Kevin Boothby at henlow on Sunday savva will rtsrting his two new litters at henlow soon sngd not Towcester

Again that tells you all you need to know

They know they have to alter the track if they want to run the derby.

But if they can make alterations that are acceptable surely supporting Towcester
with the derby is the best way for the sport to move forward.

If they prove successful then why wouldnt the like of Kempton/Chelmsford potentially
do something similar.

Unless that happens there wont be any new tracks anywhere.

Agree captain if they make the changes to the track ,its such a wasted chance could have been a super track ..

The problem you got is captain its all bends and too short straights and it's too wide

The hare runs around the outside of the track so it's hard to easily change anything cheaply

I gues you could leave the hard rail where it and and try and re shape the track by bringing the inside rails outwards to narrow the circuit and at the same time make the straights longer

Whether its possible to achieve this with leaving the outside rail mechanism untouched I doubt it

Sure ravage.

Although if the trip was 500m with a chute it would be a good run to the bend.

After that I have no problem with it being hard to pass front runners, the derby should
reward early pace imo, especially if it was over 500m.
By:

When: 29 Mar 16 22:48
The bends could do with banking also.
By:
Ravage Again
When: 30 Mar 16 01:27
500 m trip would help

But much more fundamental problems with the track that just having  20m longer run to the bend
