Backed 8/1 Candelight Fire at the start and little top up now 6/1. I like his style and he's improving all the time round Monmore. Got tickets for 14/1 apiece Bramble Magpie and Slippy Perry, too

have you seen the heats woody or just topped up without seeing em??

Liking 6/1 Droopys Folly and 10/1 Ballymac Lyster tonight. Hot semi for Folly but 25/1 outright, each-way, would be big if she starts coming away

Candlelight dead-heat for second. Probably be a run-off rather than toss of a coin, with a full week before the final

Still in a state of shock after lead around first how the deck it not won

Kicked on at the third bend with red checking then it just seemed to stop and run wide off 4th

Can see that run off being Monday maybe

Candlelight never shook clear, was hassled so no extra run-in. Would think Astorish wins in clear run-off though, if that's what happens

candlelight is an absolute kidder,thats what happened

Folly a very poor starter. I never learnt after Newcastle. Magpie did well

Just watched it win in first round at monmore and had a 300 quid double with bramble magpie, so rather gutted after it led up

I think given the chance he likes to kid them off the front ravage yes,amazing speed to be able to do that in this class and its not been that often in his career hes found something capable of satisfying his urges...only an opinion,im sure many would disagree!

Got 14/1 Bramble Magpie in the final and not without a chance. As is often the way, favourites nibbled at on the supporting card like Droopys Turin, Honest John, Romany Rouge and Barricane Bullet but not for me apart from Rouge. Impressed me last time and can go in again

8/1 Golden Billy, each-way, beat some smart rivals in  the finale at Sheffield recently and gritty enough to play a part business end

If drawn nearer the rails, Coral's 6/4 Glenpadden Ace would be about right against those rivals but never wore stripes before and half-expecting to see a vet's certificate! . Having said that, if he takes part 3/1 is a big price against that calibre of opposition and might be worth the risk he gets a run (and yes Addy, I've backed him!)

Little bet 8/1 Ribble Atom, each-way. Trip on the short side but should be in the shake-up for the place money and you never know if Tamera may get held up

Liking 9/2 Droopys Trapeze. Could show good Newcastle form at the drop of a hat

Only other bet the 7.8/1 Walshes/Dutch 'cast in hot sprint

Droopys Elite out of Puppy Derby. Wasn't Candlelight Fire supposed to be first reserve? I know there was a slight doubt about his soundness after the run off (vet said okay), but I would have liked to see him take his chance (and not just for betting purposes)
