Woody, I think there will be goals + I don't bet on football, it was just a throw away comment as I said we are good going forward and a little ropy at the back.

Re-supporting opens, done guide and looking like some very short ones, none more so than Burgess Borna in the marathon. She's already 4/6 to win the Kent Cesarewitch final at Crayford next Tuesday (also on Sky). Fine looking card, anyway

The St Leger was first run at Wembley in 1928 and although legends like Mick The Miller and Dolores Rccket have won it, no greyhound has ever successfully defended the title, enter last year's winner Roxholme Dream. She's not staying on as strongly as last year but could still capitalise from trouble behind, spring a surprise and re-write the record books, making history
Diego Flight already appears to have one paw on the trophy though, but needs to supplement impressive heat form when it matters most, in the Category One £25,000 final

For me Woody Dream has run very well in this competition but obviously not quite as well as last year. Win it or not she is still a history-maker in making two Leger finals ( and winning one ). She gives it everything she has got and is just a ping start away from making history. Diego has been brilliant throughout this but is out wider now. Finals are often won by one dog trapping a length faster and the other a length slower. All is not lost for Dream however I agree that if Diego reproduces his last run it wouldn't matter what any of them do - he would win.

Loooking a race ahead: Jock has NEVER won in red and with Tosh knowing every inch of this track and Aiminfire full of early and also wanting inside I think he is a lay. I also think that Tiggy is plotted and highly likely to benefit from the inside scrimmaging on the run up. I'm laying Jock and betting Tig.

Interviewed at Crayford before the heats John Mullins said he had bought the Dashing dog that won the other heat as a prospective marathon dog and wanted to see how it was - it won. Talking about Borna , he said after injury they were running to find out where they were with the dog. As a result of the going and the failure of the fav to act, I just thought it was too easy to get carried away with the big distance win against nothing.
