2 days before one of the biggest nights racing of the year and no sign of entries or trap draws.
Don't know if the competitions will be over or undersubscribed but surely trainers need more than 48 hours to understand if they've been accepted and need to make travel plans/kennel arrangements etc.
From a punters perspective no chance then of ante post markets been formed until less than 48hrs before the comps start at best.
Is it just me or is it not pretty poor for any competition never mind category one events?

Take your point about Sheffield Fatty but St Leger is a stayers comp and the scurry is more than a Mickey mouse event.
Puppy Derby and All England Cup will attract a quality entry and I don't know if the late publication of trap draws is because they've been struggling for numbers or just poor organisation and communication? If it is lack of numbers then owners/trainers bemoaning a lack of prize money should hang their heads in shame. These are 2 good pots. Got to support the races when they're put on. Have to agree that the calendar does feel unevenly weighted at this time of year.But then again is that any surprise as the buffoons at the GBGB arent renowned for common sense and good organisation are they? |

Races didn't close until mid-day today. Puppy Derby didn't fill.

Very disappointing card quality wise
Looks like a lot of big southern kennels ain't even bothered turning up Hills need to make the prizes £20k plus rather than throw everything in the derby pot |

the calender at moment is just comedy tbf.
speaking as a punter what i generally do is look at it all and just say "fk that, i dont know where to start so i just wont bother at all",could just be laziness also though  |

You would imagine 8/1 for a dog as talented as Droopys Cortez a big price but likely to need all of this 480m. If he gets to the front though, form an orderly queue. La Cuchilla let me down in the Romford Puppy Cup but still ran okay. Think 12/1 worth an arrow
