PARADISE MAVERIK 12/1 with PP seems a fair bet considering how unlucky he was in the irish derby,

he has been on the go an awful long time now and has to prove he runs Harolds Cross as well as Shelbourne
Report frank60 September 10, 2014 9:11 PM BST
I think the 550 might suit him better as well, the only dog to beat Laughill blake ,i have a score on him and take the chance PF
Report mesi September 10, 2014 9:21 PM BST
take it from me, he runs HX.just hope he dont get stuck on the outside too often

gl with it, won't be playing myself, will take my annual trip to HRX on Friday and remember why i don't bother going the rest of the year Laugh no Tadgh i ain't going to chuck a few quid your way!!

good to see the comp was well oversubscribed as well
Report woodmanchester September 11, 2014 6:47 AM BST
3 for me: 33/1 Valentia Slate (each-way), 12/1 Paradise Maverick and 16/1 Ballymac Gordie. The Frances O'Donnell trained Slate has a verdict over Plate hopeful Saint Anthony at Shelbourne off a fast split. Off since, but flew round here in a 2-bend trial recently to suggest all's well. Maverick put up some tremendous efforts in the Derby and although trip could be a shade sharp, imo, must be included. Ballymac Vic's Gordie just looks a big improver to me.

Just of note could give a chance to Whist A Mhic, who beat Farloe Blitz (very near top of market) in the Newbridge Puppy Derby but passed at the price. Similar story for Save The Don, but could go a long way.

At the other end of the scale, dogs for loose change each-way struck me as Old Fort Cracker don't think should be 50/1 on her best form and same remark and price Soviet Jackson, fair Newbridge form

Good luck!
Report p_r_e_m_i_e_r__f_a_n_t_a_s_y September 11, 2014 8:43 AM BST
Whist A Mhic looks big at 20s, would say he will be well suited to HRX with his early, Borna King could go well at 50s as well
Report never give up September 16, 2014 11:19 PM BST
any opinions after the first round ?
Report woodmanchester September 16, 2014 11:26 PM BST
Dunno but think 20/1 Gordie a bit big, so small top up. Got potential and can do better, imo
Report p_r_e_m_i_e_r__f_a_n_t_a_s_y September 17, 2014 5:49 AM BST
Yeah heat 5 is ridiculous, most of the more impressive dogs from round 1 drawn in it in my opinion, thought there was a really impressive run in defeat by another dog but I ain't on yet
Report woodmanchester September 17, 2014 7:48 AM BST
You would think impressive 16 lengths winner Save The Don a bit generous at 16/1, but barely made the bend and could be a shade risky. Think Coolavanny List could be an each-way prospect at 33/1, though. Others to run with a degree of credit Minglers Trio and Fair Taxes but not so sure Baile Mhic will be getting away quite so well in future
Report woodmanchester September 17, 2014 7:49 AM BST
Gotta be happy with Paradise Maverick but Ballymac Gordie would be the bigger payout now
Report p_r_e_m_i_e_r__f_a_n_t_a_s_y September 17, 2014 7:51 AM BST

Ha ha, only got a vested interest in Gordie and Maverick (pennies Cracker). Was just answering NGU's question Happy

PF, never got a reply to my pm. Youre probably only just coming back to life. Basically, I was asking if Sugar Ray retired or a possible tilt at the English St Leger?

jeezus krist woody you would put Sugar Ray down a coal mine and have him pulling carriages or hod carrying in Dubai
Report woodmanchester September 19, 2014 12:38 PM BST
Love Sugar Ray. Even more so if he goes to Wimbledon and wins the Leger
Report woodmanchester September 19, 2014 4:37 PM BST
Swayne, I know what you mean but he seems to love his racing and still in great form. If they had stuck with retiring Vic, he would have missed out on running in the final this year

the 2 pups from heat 5 are magic, stunning early pace

Maverik ran some race too after the trouble but i do worry about him to the corner and can see him having more problems in the comp on it
Report woodmanchester September 28, 2014 12:12 PM BST
Pleased with improved run from Ballymac Gordie but this Farloe Blitz a big danger. Blonde Nipper flew home to qualify in his heat and could be a staying star of the future. Disappointed Paradise Maverick out, unlucky

Like the crackdown at the back end of last year when huge amounts of positives came out about certain trainers and they where told to put the license in their partners name but did nowt and nowt happened. Sure it's all in the feed innit, nowt to do with the trainers
Report p_r_e_m_i_e_r__f_a_n_t_a_s_y October 2, 2014 8:52 PM BST
took the 12s Blonde Nipper, kicking myself for not taking the 25s last week considering he was the only (w) left in the competition, cannot see how he doesn't qualify for the final and then with a bit of luck he will be in with 5 unseeded but even at worst have Dolcino Flyer inside him in 5 would not worry me too much, all the fancied runners must lead and even then he was only 2L off Blitz last week who showed sensational early and Nipper did not get the clearest run, he is still absolutely massive at 10s, i would go as far as saying he should near be half that price
Report frank60 October 3, 2014 12:20 AM BST
The best i could get on Nipper was 10/1,.. Christines boots is a fair e/way at 33/1 ,has being running well under the radar and has the easier of the 2 heats.
Report woodmanchester October 3, 2014 7:20 AM BST
Had peanuts Nipper at 12/1 a few days ago. 33/1 Coolavanny List would bring in a few quid too. Clearly best win still Ballymac Gordie but fear the fav

Report p_r_e_m_i_e_r__f_a_n_t_a_s_y October 12, 2014 2:13 PM BST
Farloe Blitz has both Minglers Trio and Quietly inside him, he will have to do everything right to lead them, they all have to be leading to win so the race could quite easily be set up for one of the strong dogs to come and do them

Blitz has been brilliant all comp but then he only barely cleared Quietly in the quarter finals when he was drawn inside him
Report never give up October 12, 2014 8:52 PM BST
