Remember the convo on page 5 of this thread Wonders. How much of a cert was OFH at Ayr after watching today Cry

Ps Salto Chisco is down to run this week (entered in 3 races). Its been a full year hopefully worth the wait.

did you back it bookie?

he looked a 130+ horse yesterday but its whether he repeats it given his profile...that said, he jumped better than I've seen him jump before and it got better as the race went on which is a good sign as suggests maybe summer break has helped ease any physical problems he might have been feeling and therefore still potentially on an upward curve

salto chisco...ah yes, my fav trainer

The 1.20 race is my nap Wonders. Happy with the projected price tbh. Wouldn't be the strongest of races. Looking at this comment i made on the 1st of April you couldnt place her in a better race.

"Another i like for first time up at the start of next season is Salto Chisco of McCains. I felt for a bad blunder at the second last at Sedgefield it would have beat the O'neil thing which i think is a decent yardstick. Obviously it will need to be at the likes of sedgefield or the likes again but it has scope and will come out first time up and be about evs to 6/4 imo and just bolt up in a similar race."

If you watch the replay of that race the head on doesn't tell the full story of how much she lost diving at the second last. Watching from side on she lost alot and was eased at the line and i know it wasn't a great race but the others were not sighted and its the same C/D and grade tomorrow. Projected to be 15/8 by the SL, would be rude not to bet at above 5/4 imo.

By the way i'm also having a nibble at the Armstrong horse now down another 5lb since the race we spoke about and imo 2m 4f is its right trip and will relish the testing ground. It has won over 2m 4f off 117 before in C3 and at the prices is worth a nibble imo also dropping to C4 now.

Looking at the earlies on here both look like they will be nice prices compared to what i make them. I would make SC 4/6 and RR around 7/2-9/2 (harder to nail down)

Should also note Another Hero has ran 8th in a good 20 runner class 2 Hcap at Kempton and then 2nd in another good 14 runner class 2 Hcap at Cheltenham since that race.

good man bookie, hope you are well

gotta say the 1.20 didn't excite me tbh

you got the right race on the other 1, nah not RR, defo been going through the motions for a while now that horse, including having the right jockeys on him a few times...I'd say the o'regan switch is a stinker too, hughes been riding a few of the armstrong horses recently (sponsored by his firm too), presumably could have ridden RR here if he wanted

Normally i would agree with you about the jockey but i actually think a quiet ride might help RR and the 7lb means he is now 9lb below his last winning weight although i agree he hasnt been doing much latelly. You have me stumped with the one you fancy. Fav has gone up chunks so cant be it and TK,s is with the wrong trainer imo(not a huge fan), Amir Pasha goes well round there but is exposed and can be a dog aswell at times.Wades two look to be struggling unless they find another 2 legs.LTC has had 68 races and again well exposed.Dunbarton was with Stoute,Elliott and Hobbs before going to Moffat which is like a dog going from Lister to Savva to Wallis and landing with some small not very good trainer(suppose it could still win graded races but its engine will be goosed).
Silver Shuffle would be the big danger i suppose but 1 win in 47 is poor and it would be high enough in the weights because it keeps running second.

The inform horses would be the fav and Silver Shuffle and the best handicapped horse on all known form would be RR with RMs horse being the possible gamble/under the radar horse.

I'm gonna have a decent bet on SC and a smaller bet on RR but if either win i will win.

I can't have anything trained by DM any more bookie, if ever a trainer has completely gone at the game its him, there is a nice little hcap in SC if he was handled correctly but he won't be

would normally be a firing squad offence for slating RM bookie Devil she's a great girl and TK and her make a proper nice couple, they train at peter beaumont's old gaff not too far from around here, they have a v low calibre of horse tbf and 81 runners is a small sample size across a tiny bunch of horses

wasn't gunna whack it up on here but amir pasha is a plot imo, HB and awkward pigs are a match imo Grin
he got a right tune out of him 2 runs back, just hope the joke booking and hard race last time hasn't facked his enthusiasm which looked to have been turned back on by HB

was double figs in early f/c Shocked
make the top 2 in the weights the dangers at the prices

you are right its a drop in weights and grade for RR, its not a great race tbh double figs is big

SC is very weak which is a worry but the fav didn't beat much at Kelso lto and if fit it wins imo and usually McCain has them spot on fto.

The grey horse isnt interested and still ran 4th albeit well beat. I would like to see a change of stable for it. Hammonds horse Brooke done everything right ie travelled well and put it in the right possitions at the right time and it just fizzled out(thought Hughes had a shocker on the second, i know he isnt the strongest but it bordered on looking like a non trier on the home run) Hughes lifted his whip once all the way down the straight.
It does look a horse that needs its head put on the line but it actually responded after he hit it and powered up the hill and went away from Amir Pasha. Oh well it will have to be another day we make our millions Cry

AP declared tomorrow, on soft ground and maguire booked LaughLaugh

I suspected hammonds brain might have gone walkabout for this day and sure enough it has, fcking idiot deserves to lose tomorrow

few more poor runs on mud get him down to 80 find a bad race for him when ground dries out and put the jockey on that gets him to travel might stand a chance

win or lose 2/1 is a ridiculous price today

I always thought AP wanted pretty decent jumping ground, sedgey will be a ploughed field today
suppose when maguire is on you have to expect 3-4 points being lopped off coz he's that good Wink
