Once again on Thursday he put his lay of the day in his jackpot perm, that is so funny, its about as sensible as me inviting Birchy around for a dinner party, what with Julie laughing her way through the comms; it was horrible viewing, but the worst in the whole world was Tony Bullen tipping the 5 dog in the marathon at Henlow the week before, saying if it were a 460 race it would lead and win, and adding, im hoping it can hold on for another lap!!!!!
Hes a nice fella but an awful tipster bottom of the naps table I believe, that's why the bookies employ him as he increases profits. He picks the fav practically in every race.

I have met Phil briefly once or twice and he seems a really nice lad. I don't see their tv role as that of a tipster, neither for Greyhound or horse racing. He does the job perfectly well as far as I can see. He is passionate about the game and puts the Greyhounds' chances in a reasonable perspective. He's a very professional presenter imo, one of the best ones. I look forward to seeing some of you experts on the show! You might tip more winners, but could you talk and present the racing for around 3.5 hours?

I'm surprised they have him on as the constant coughing is so irritating.

Sometimes it's hard to shake a tickly cough. Cough bottle and sipping water could do the trick 
He's a decent bloke and often comes out with some good sense but, it takes him so long to get to the point. You feel like you want to shake it out of him.

Personally I think its time for a revamp , what with Dave (Rodney) and J K getting boring now. At least Hobbsy comes on for the craic , wearing tea cloths and giving as much banter as he gets. How he avoids the fashion police is beyond me !

You do get news a fair bit and the replays of opens are good memory-joggers
its completely lost its overall appeal as a product since getting greedy with 5 days
