Hobsie - well looks no bias to me the last seven T1 have won at wimb the night
Phil - you're right it's just I am an expert judge and done a seven T1 accum
Jothan - well I am sure you got the bet on Phil as bookies always lay mug bets
Me - nah I am sure that fooking tractor is painted red and white, it must be the ex Sunderland chappie
TR just wants to see me on the tellyMe - FFS look at that fooking bias has the Ex Sunderland tractor driver of a few years ago been given a new jobHobsie - well looks no bias to me the last seven T1 have won at wimb the nightPhil - you're right it's
Think too much is made of it. Anyway, reckon the going allowances will work in my favour this Saturday with inaccurate calculated times. Watch this space!

this is the same subject we had last year and already raised on the "most ridiculous things in greyhound racing"
the use or non-use of the Wimbledon Bowser is the problem
when the sand is hard before a Wimbledon meeting you will see an official out on the bends watering the track with a hose prior to the first race
I was informed on here that the bowser can only be filled up once and go round once each race night
However I'd be guessing if I said the inside had much more grip than the outside early doors last friday

it would be very hard for me to say there wasn't a bias
the reason I ask is ...... if I got results from any meeting that read .....Trap 1 6 winners trap 2 1 winnertrap 3 3 winnerstrap 4 1 winnertrap 5 1 winnertrap 6 1 winnerit would be very hard for me to say there wasn't a bias
Just because there were 6 winners from trap one does not mean theres a bias, you are typical of the email/tweet senders to RPGTV. Name a race where the going affected the outcome. Generally the better dogs were drawn on the inside and the wide runners that did have some sort of chance had plenty of excuses.

Hlad thanks for that, I'm well aware of what constitutes a bias thank you very much !
Thanks bairn for that information.
Is it not significant that the bowser went round on the Friday night after heat 4 ? note it was almost halfway through the meeting just after vic (t5) and rodge (t4) had won. from that point on the meeting went significantly rails/middle it wasn't until the last two races that the outsides came again with trap 6 registering a first and a second.
the last six races followed a similar pattern to the first six races
You can judge if you think it was significant or not, I believe that as soon as the bowser goes round it immediately benefits the inside, as it did again on the Saturday. How much of an effect it has depends on the weather prior to the meeting and how much watering was done prior to the meeting.

irishone, some people will always deny a bias, no matter what the evidence. A few years ago on Scottish Derby night an obvious rails bias existed due to the track being salted. Yet all through the card a few continued to argue against.

Well rather than posting the trap challenge result, why not actually talk about the races. Where did you spot the 'bias' did something fly down the back that shouldn't? What dogs didn't pick their feet up outside? As for the Bowser making a track go inside, you are a confused person.

Generally the better dogs were drawn on the inside This is not true HLAD , none of these were the "better" dogs according to the betting.HEAT 5 Fermoy Henry TRAP 3 Won 10-1HEAT 6 Bubbly Lucky TRAP 2 2nd 7-1HEAT 7 Kilara Missy TRAP 1 2nd 66-1
its very often the case when the "bias" calls go out, that when you ask them to point out an actual piece of racing action to back up the theory people just shout numbers at you, well thats a bingo callers job!
two examples on here recently, tsw stated rommers was rails one night,i hadnt noticed it so asked him why he thought so,he gave a specific piece of action which when i looked back he was spot on about, also putmeonpal said one night it was wide at cov,i didnt think so and offered a few quick formlines as to why i didnt think it was the case,he didnt offer anything...nuff said.

so you want me to tell you a part of the race where a greyhound on the inside performs better than a greyhound on the outside ? So when it gains so many lengths over that part of the race I specifically outline, you then say , that wasn't down to the bias .... that was because of .....excuse, excuse, excuse. Then we venture into the world of opinion don't we ? I have no wish to go there.
The facts suggest there was a bias, specifically on June 7th on the number of winners from each trap and on average actual times (which are facts .... until some tool with an opinion tries to manipulate them through the going allowance ) the insides were running 3 lengths quicker than the outsides over all the derby heats that night.
its fine by me if you don't agree, I don't have any problem with that at all, I am merely pointing to some facts not conjecture.

its the difference between facts and opinion Patrick, I respect your opinion Patrick, but clearly you feel that the facts are nothing to take note of ..... mmmmm .....good luck !

Was deffo a rails. OAS at wimb, trap 7 & 8 did not even one race between them
I hit 100-1 each one on the trap challenge as well with them nasty bookies

take every dog beaten 10 lengths or less on friday and carry out a regression for the average distances beaten for each trap
when you've done that you will see it was worth around 0.4 lengths per trap, i.e. around 2.5 lengths difference from inside to out, up to you whether you choose to ignore the evidence

I was there last friday ,agree watching the heats live there appeared to be a bias ,watching them again there was not ,armagh got injured george was about to take off got taken out ,the greenwell dog ran shyte ,other than that I can see no dogs who really under performed from a wide berth ,the graded looked level enough to me ,saturday there was no evidence of any bias at all the track has been very fair for a long time ,I can only remember one meeting where wide dogs under performed since start of year ignoring the form of that evening proved profitable
