Does anyone know if Demmy (Best Bet) have ceased trading as their phone numbers have all stopped working...0800 917 8080 & 01942 242568 & even the fax number 01942 246620 don't seem to work for me.

I rang the BT operator, and all they could tell me was there was some work happening on the lines, but I doubt that would be the case on a Sat afternoon when it would cost the firm too much money in missed calls surely?
I'm not owed money, and had a large winning ante-post bet fully paid in late December 2012, but I've placed a new ante-post bet a short while back and want to know if it's still "live" ??
Has anyone else got through to this company recently or had any very recent dealings?

As of today, I can answer my own question for the benefit of anyone reading this.
I had a letter today in the post from Star Sports confirming that Best Bet Bookmakers have indeed gone bust a couple of weeks ago, and that they have taken on all the accounts and positive/negative balances of all the clients.
I can continue to use Star Sports with my old account number & the same 0800 number from Bet Bet which has now been reactivated and forwards to them.
All ante-post bets (including the one I struck a couple of months ago) are void.

thats strange as i was told all ante post bets stood and would be honoured by star , also a letter from bestbet explaining they had decided to call it a day and thanking customers for support over the years , star had purchased the customer database from bestbet and agreed to pay customers with a positive balance as part of the deal

The Gaffa, the positive balance thing is correct, but I was told on the phone that they didn't have any records of previously placed ante-post bets, so couldn't confirm them.
