So, for antepost purposes, gone 5/1 Romeo Patriot. Although unraced since romping home in a heat of the Essex Vase, he looked a big improver to me and one to follow. He missed out on th semis, although he went faster than Smiler Jack and Westmead Maldini and if qualifying for next Saturday's final, should come on enough to have a good chance to lift the trophy.

Small play 14/1 Droopys English. Has course knowledge and could surprise a few if gaining smoother passages than of late.

Romeo Patriot ran terrible for a 4/6 chance, especially when youre holding a 5/1 ticket. It was a case of too little far too late
