While the missus is cooking roast chicken dinner and helped up by winning at Crayford last night, messing about with the nags this afternoon, until 4pm, when City will start the demolition of Liverpool! Happy.

Going NAP with 3.40 Lingfield, 2/1 Litmus. Ridden by the greatest woman jockey of all time, Hayley Turner, pretty hopeful of a return.

NB 1.50 Punchestown 2/1 Colbert Station in the Pertemps qualifier. Ted Walsh fields this one and Royal Reveille also. McCoy rides the selection and should take the honours ahead of Ruby on the other one

If you want to chance your arm on a gilt-edged looking 1/2 double, look no further than Chelthenham hopefuls 2.20 Punchestown Sizing Europe and 1.00 Musselborough Overturn. Both look of Frankel proportions betting-wise and best combined odds with Victor Chandler.

Lingfield. Baby-faced Willie Twiston-Davies started crying when he fell off Baby Run when he would have won at Cheltenham that time, i felt like more than crying, but he could ride the first two winners, courtesy of Taxiformissbyron and Close Together. Bridge The Gap shoulddo well in the 2.40 and two at big prices for me are 3.10 Lasalareen and 4.10 Cathedral

Musselborough. Like Foxhunters racing and a good race in prospect 4.00 between Cloudy Lane, Island Life and Creevytennant. Looking at 1.30 Lord Wishes and 3.00 Swift Arrow. Two big outsiders for me: 2.30 20/1 Tidal Way and 4.30 Agglestone Rock

Punchestown. McCoy and Ruby should ride out the finish in the opener, on Byerley Babe and Upazo respectively. Ruby may just shade it here.

1.20 Mozeltov and 3.20 Alderwood, who i think could do okay at Cheltenham.

Phew, that lot should keep me busy. Think i need a lie down now! Laugh

Talking to yourself Again woody,

think your right with the 1.50, but taking a chance with BLISSFUL MOMENT,10/1 1/4the odds 1234 still better priced than the fav.to win.Cool
Report woodmanchester February 3, 2013 12:22 PM GMT
Yeah Line, but twice the cost! Wink
Report woodmanchester February 3, 2013 12:23 PM GMT
Huge field for that 1.50 at Punchestown but mainly dead-wood
Report lineuk February 3, 2013 12:27 PM GMT
true, your doing it to win,2/1 22runner not my bet, and a lot of dead wood could get in the way.
Report woodmanchester February 3, 2013 12:29 PM GMT
cant argue with that Line. Sure you know more about horses than me. What do you make of McCoy on the fav and Ruby on Ted Walsh's other one?
Report lineuk February 3, 2013 12:36 PM GMT
love Mccoy, great jocky.  2 horses in the same race trained by the same trainer they say do the one whos not fancied....
Report woodmanchester February 3, 2013 12:38 PM GMT
Yeah, big diff too 2/1 and 8/1. Godolphin buggers for it
Report woodmanchester February 3, 2013 1:04 PM GMT
Overturn superb, stroll in the park, won by a distance. Dont think you'll be seeing 1/2 Sizing Europe! Wink

Poetry in motion, better than watching BAGS! Laugh

Tremendous round of jumping at speed, big player at Cheltenham
Report woodmanchester February 3, 2013 1:19 PM GMT
Do you think a big hitter would like 1/2 about a 1/7 chance Line?
Report woodmanchester February 3, 2013 1:24 PM GMT
Not over 'til the fat lady sings though
Report woodmanchester February 3, 2013 1:37 PM GMT
Shucks, 10/3 Lord Wishes just failed to get up by a fast-diminishing neck
Report woodmanchester February 3, 2013 1:45 PM GMT
Willie Twiston-Davies failed by a nostril to get Taxiformissbyron home
Report woodmanchester February 3, 2013 1:47 PM GMT
Right with Mozeltov, 3/1 early, at Punchestown
Report lineuk February 3, 2013 2:00 PM GMT
mccoy the man, but was lucky in the end
Report woodmanchester February 3, 2013 2:05 PM GMT
oi oi the NB, i got 2/1 Colbert Station, returned 11/10, comfortable enough, think ended up winning with a bit to spare, 2 lengths
Report woodmanchester February 3, 2013 2:13 PM GMT
Willie narrowly out of luck again
Report woodmanchester February 3, 2013 2:14 PM GMT
well, length and half. Should be called Willie Twisting-sod! Laugh
Report woodmanchester February 3, 2013 2:20 PM GMT
1/8 Sizing Europe just before the off
Report woodmanchester February 3, 2013 2:32 PM GMT
Not the cleanest of rounds but no shocks, 10 lengths
Report woodmanchester February 3, 2013 2:37 PM GMT
20/1 Tidal Way no good, didnt play, would have been coppers anyway
Report woodmanchester February 3, 2013 2:46 PM GMT
Bridge That Gap won, was 7/2, think will be returned about 9/4.

Well, obviously nobody's interested. Dont blame you, this is a dog forum but would feel out of my league in horses section.

Having dinner now anyway.

Byeee! Happy

jeez woody, time for a blog website or a twitter for you?

or perhaps a reality TV show live blog we can all log on to to follow you, like those 3am post nightclub TV programmes charting the way home & fighting tendencies of those fine Mancunian lads and lasses from the perspective of the Greater Manchester PD?Scared

Got bored between races Swayne so twittered on. Line kept me company on occasions. Enjoyed the afternoon though
