Taylor Sky was 9/2 for the Gold Cup. Unsuccessful, has cost me an absolute fortune and must be a much larger price here considering the quality of opposition. Short fav when in trouble behind Mags Gamble in aforementioned Gold Cup but will still surely be well to the fore in antepost betting.
Bubbly Phoenix is unraced since his sparkling 28.22s romp over 480m Derby final night. Think he's had a setback as muted going for Irish Derby which never materialised. Loughteen Blanco caught close home by Westmead Maldini over 515m Hove in the Sussex Cup but should be more at home over this 462m trip. Boher Paddy retains more speed than most people recognise and could be a force in trying for his first Category One success. Much will depend on his starting against some of these speedy types though. Jaytee Pedro beat a top quality field including Phoenix, Mill Bling Bling, Blue Artisan and Hather George in the 2nd round of the Derby but then in trouble and went downhill, been off. Think much will depend on how dogs do in trials. Will be interesting to see those results and how the outright market takes shape |

By:
Bubbly ran twice in Ireland since derby paddy and sky both not 100% got a fancy waiting think I will go weds
By:
Blanco as to be runner in this,
Where that other ep dog gone that run in final at Yarmouth few weeks back and run in that pup final at monmore led hawk silly till it caved in at the 3rd Bittles dog ? would of need rails but he had ep to burn No fancy socks either it's hot but there crap init too ! |

Taylors Sky is brilliant on his day and i've always held Boher Paddy in the highest regard but the pair have cost me a fortune and feel it's time to jump ship, enter Loughteen Blanco.
He was friendless on his English debut when well beaten behind Boher Paddy and Razldazl Jayfkay back in February but has acclimatised well since and went very close to lifting the Sussex Cup over Hove's demanding 515m. This 462m could be right up his street and he looks a more reliable starter than Sky and Paddy, which is needed round this speedy circuit. Had a little go at 7/1 anyway. Got my eye on 33/1 and 50/1 each-way shots. Will post later |

By:
woody agree with you on all 3 points
think you need a fast away dog for this comp and loughteen blanco fits the bill but i fancy one i think could out trap it all day long ![]() |
By:
Would that be Lil Risky Pockets? Think this a bit too far for him in this class
By:
Unless you mean You Mind Me Pockets?
Anyway, as promised here's a 50/1 shot with a squeak: Hather George. Although not one of Lister's better-known dogs, not getting the praise he deserves recently. Led and made Boher Paddy work overtime to three-quarters in a heat of the Steel City Cup, then finished a fine second to the smart Fire Height Spec, who i'm sure Draper doesnt rate too far behind Ballymac Eske and Farloe Warhawk. This 462m could be ideal. |

By:
On bubbly I think he is the fastest in the comp. but hope for a bit of 33 belvedere Emma no where to be found come on bubbly save stake with blanco
By:
33/1 you sure if u mean bubby he's 10/1?
Droopys reason + might play the Kent derby winner he's got some early. |
By:
See the money out for bubby but can someone tell me the benefits from such a track that he get out of from Yarmouth? How the hell can this sort of track suit him!
bower paddy, holycross prince, ? |
By:
phoenix good out of Trap 6 at tight W'don Fattie, and not many wide seeds in this comp, even fewer top class wides
By:
Couldnt believe Phoenix was 14/1, thought he would have been bang in top part of market but left it alone coz questions to answer after runs in Ireland
By:
as I see it he traped what twice at wimbo !
Didn't win derby so was flop! run at Tralee that is tight flop! just think by watching him hove notts and shel be where he puts it down so 14 10 8 what ever can't have it |
By:
Just think he be a class dog at a big track
So if coventry got the derby I be a fan! |
By:
a number the connections think he's much better from Trap 6.
did get to Derby semi and did stonking run at Wdon to win Plate. perhaps he was not right at Tralee, given comments on injury at that time. I agree that you'd think he'd be better on big less tight running tracck, but plenty of similar type dogs like Westmead Maldini, also run tights like Romford. |
By:
I'd hardly call his wimbledon runs(a 133,129 and 128 GD rated amongst them) or tralee for that matter a "flop".
By:
Fatty do you really think not winning the derby makes you a flop
I fancy him long run up chance to open he's legs time will show who's right gl all |
By:
I'd be first up to say how wrong I am if he cops!
By:
Flap, are you allowed to talk about opening legs on here?

Belvedere Emma's sparkling 27.50 secs in one of the trials puts her right in the reckoning. She'll do for me, especially if she can keep getting drawn in red!
By:
She's done a time in a proper race too Mystic. Big player if handling this class.
By the way, Blue Sq have heat prices already ![]() |
By:
Still ain't made up my mind what to add!
why loner not in this that bitch is flying would of been worth a try? |
By:
Zodiac Zeus @ 10 looks worth
By:
Going to lay Taylor sky for a big un
By:
Fattie, Childs said Loner had minor injury, be back after few weeks rest.
88 8 and Bl Sq have withdrawn odds, only beast 3 65 still up? |
By:
You seen the times posted at hove by loner last two weeks would win most sprints!
By:
Helenas sallor 50/1 40/1 ew
Ballycowen Dave 25/1 Droopys reason 25/1 fancy lenson Peter for its heat Also sallor for its heat |

Years ago all boys would go for 10 days gg in the day dogs then back to van for cards
By:
I'm with you flap, laying Sky tonight with so much early pace in the race.
By:
For me no where near the dog he was I think sir chaz will be lucky to get one in the final
By:
B Paddy for me.
Lister loves Yarmouth |
By:
Lister's hather g is big at 6's with phoenix prob not 100% fit
By:
All the big guns will go into the hat tonight no shocks
makes for 4 cracking heats Monday! |
By:
Monday's second round draw:
First: 1 Benkatt Blue, 2 Taylors Sky, 3 Belvedere Emma, 4 Droopys Reason, 5 Fifis Legend, 6 Ballycowen Dave (w). Second: 1 Lenson Mac, 2 Loughteen Blanco, 3 Darian Chief, 4 Jordans Chris (m), 5 Jaytee Pedro (w), 6 Helenas Sailor (w). Third: 1 You Mind Me, 2 Ard Vark, 3 Lenson Peter, 4 Pennys Midas, 5, Darian Creek (m), 6 Millwards Matt (w). Fourth: 1 Pennys Pong, 2 Romeo You Decide, 3 Boher Paddy, 4 Guinness Dusty (w), 5 Bubbly Phoenix (w), 6 Boher Chiftain (w). |
By:
Happy with 7/1 Blanco and little add 33/1 Jaytee Pedro through too but they clash. Hather George got no kind of run, out but can do better.
Did anyone expect Murlens Crash to turn right from trap 3? Showed great pace afterwards but ultimately out. Boher Paddy disappointing, let me down for an acca. Must still respect Taylors Sky and Bubbly Phoenix. Belvedere Emma must be rated one of the top bitches in training now? |
By:
Do you own Emma Woodman
? I did not see race last night, but she's only run 2 tight tracks in UK, and only handful of races, and other than 22 Aug GD rated 120 race not really spectacular, or in Ireland (in v few races) either? Might be wrong but reckon she's got a fair bit to go to be spoken of in Pearl or Perky category? |
By:
Dont really pay much attention to ratings Swayne, but i honestly think she's up there with the ones you mention plus Loner, Mutual and Bansha etc. I'm impressed with her anyway
