Can't believe what I was reading earlier in this thread about the eight bend race deserving a slot on Sky-why do we want to watch low class plodders who can hardly win a race between them because there so paceless when we can watch very fast and genuine hounds like those contesting the sprint?

Sorry Mad Dog and Wako but i find marathon runners beat each other just for fun and sprint form is more reliable and more exciting, imo. Just a personal view but would rather have Lollie and Drumcove going for me over Capel and Gaga, for instance. Not long ago it was anybodys guess what the likes of Powerfast Pigeon would do. Remember Midway Skipper winning then getting beat by the same dog on more than one occasion, they are inconsistent to my reckoning

gaga and capel seem to beat each other all the time, and when ayamzagirl was running she could beat and be beaten by anything, very hard to call, think sprinting is easier to call.

Yeah thought Loughteen Blanco and Lenson Bob had chances in the Sussex Cup but their prices where about right so just played Sakara at 50s.
About time i started betting some winners at Shelbourne though having no problem backing them across the water

and as for them spineless fookers on sky they need to grow some ba11s and start saying it as it is, only gary wiltshire has the b011ocks to say anything the rest of them like a litter of puppy lapdogs next meeting is getting watched on mute

Was having a good night after laying Bansha and Mutual and betting Pinky in the same race and laying Mill Bullseye.
Was up just over 1200 and layed Tynwald Tom 900-600
Was confident until it all went wrong when Gaga checked the first bend.Won washers on the night.

Sparrow, Mill Bling Bling won lots of Category Ones last year but hasnt looked all that genuine this year. Think most people knew he had a mind of his own before going into last night's race. Would have won easy if staying focused and not loitering, very, very fast hound. Feel sorry for connections of Blue Artisan but would have been a lucky winner, as eventual winner Silverview Perky was. Taylors Sky doesnt look the dog of old, but was close up behind coz of the bother up front, meaning Perky was allowed to run her race and Sky only about length and half behind in 5th.
Pleased with Ballymac Eske with a view to next year's ante-post Derby wager. No 33s and 50s now. Still a bit concerned it takes a while for him to hit top gear though. Still fancy kennelmate Eden Star more but waiting for someone to go 33s, calling Lanza!

woodmanchester, thanks for the info. on Mill Bling Bling. I seem to have missed the dogs antics this year and it was not the first time a dog has cost me in a Category 1 by fighting, as I also backed that lunatic Groovy Stan, who then went on to run in the Irish Derby final. Still I did back Tipoki so that's greyhound racing I suppose.

Mad Dog, i've seen Steve Taylor once or twice at tracks fairly recently. Think and hope he's on the mend, looked okay anyway. Some people not a fan of his, he can be a bit outspoken, but the few times we've chatted, he's been okay.
Sparrow, yes Groovy Stan, cost me a bomb too when looked certain to come through and win only to chuck it

Kelly Macari was interviewed before the race and stated quite categorically that the Dog could be a bit temperamental at times , she didn't exactly say he was a fighter, but she did hold an element of doubt

There has always being doubts about Mill Bling Bling even whe he ran in the Puppy Derby named Bling Bling Dano. His brother is bloody nuts too, Bling Bling Buzz.

so if mill was hanging then silverview must of been as well as artisan went by both equally the same.the distance between 4 and 6 never changed until artisan was impeded, which wasnt due to mill having a go.

Not sure Points but the way i see it Mill Bling Bling had it won before waiting for the rest to catch up. If he hadnt loitered Blue Artisan would never have hit the front, so he would have been a lucky winner in my book. Personally, i didnt think Perky ran up to her very best, was beaten and only won by default.
Looking back i agree PF. Bling won one of his Cat Ones somewhere last year but not before controversially easing at the first bend and getting beat in one of the rounds. I thought he may have brushed the inside running rail, but the alarm bells should have started ringng then, way back last year

i take your point and see where your coming from but from my end during the race it never occured to me for a second when artisan went by them that mill had hung up.only after taking its legs, which can happen and does often, did i think mill "packed in" and started playing around,as if the race was over and they were at the trip.its all opinions though and thats why we love the game.

Yeah Points, we love the game but nearly all my results have been shockiing this year. In Mill Bling Bling's case, just think he had a it won, gifted the race to Artisan, then just as quickly took it away again. Once Bling held back, Artisan should really have won it for Williams and connections, do feel a bit sorry for them. Spoke to Harry at Donny earlier in the year, lovely fella
