Spoilsports have priced up the 2 consolation finals tomorrow if anyone is interested.
Anway i think Danmar Benny is too big @ 9/4 for the Plate Consolation, only barely failed to get around in front last week and if trapping the same i can't see what stops him going around this week. In the Champion Stakes Consolation i think Milldean Tally is some price @ 5/1, great draw, ran a blinder last week, think once she holds Eabhas Fantasy run up she turns handy and wins. |

think the same as you on DANMAR 9/4 auto lead than kick on
but I think JFK. missed it last week this is no where near as hard a race but if ****s up his trapping end of but if he comes away he be hard to pull back 9/4 Double only ! will watch the final only think its a great race jet as a great draw but in a way so does vic It too hard the inside lot could smash 6 pop round who knows Where find out later |

good to see JFK show some heart after taking whack at first bend and run pass Fantasy down BS and run on to win, just holding off the strong running on Bullet by a Hd in 29.80 odd, just doesn't trap at HQ

thats bullets best race since derby final
By:
yeh mesi, v good run considering bullet took bump out of traps and was stone last into first bend...if he polishes up his trapping he could be back big time, still short of full fitness too

Hindsight comas had plot of plots
JFK Stright as a dire handy he run from any trap we saw front two in the derby betting battle it out. jet pulled away think if vic was inside him the result be the other way round ! If bug was on the inside tonite might of lead but u do know he packs it in if not leading Maestro 3rd bend put pay to being in first 3 very unlikely there be 4 or 5 top dogs in same heat come derby One and a half weeks to go ! take it draw benefit made Sunday with entries in by Thursday? |

Good race and i can't see any excuses for any of them. The draw won the race for Jet in my opinion as they where virtually level into the bend but once he went around he was never getting beaten. Vic ran well too and i thought Tibetan ran a blinder. Little disappointed with Sparta, got a bit of bother at the 3rd but never thought he was going to get close, not coming away didn't help.
Some run by Camas, i thought he ran cack the last 3 weeks and he went 3/1 on course i was told. He was the best drawn dog of the night but i didn't see that run coming. I can't back a winner in Shelbourne recently got my money back laying a few dogs but then layed Cuil Cougar in the last so lost on the night, thank god Danedream won to save my day.The draw for the Derby is on Monday July 30th Fattie |

Great performance by the Jet to lead, yes Vic got on him from line into first bend, but for Jet to lead to line first time is great effort for him and bodes well for those that have backed him AP..although I'd be nervous him out in T4 or 5

Droopys Jet is the fastest greyhound in Ireland and he deserved that big pot on Saturday night. He'll win this Irish Derby and is undoubtedly the dog to beat!

YA COM great performence ..but i would.nt be licking his backside yet..there were some very good runs by other dogs on Sat that were not that far behind. his best price at the min is 10/1 with PP which is not great with the probable amount of runners being around 100+ come the draw . .. we all like to pick one out that slips under the rader and i think i saw such a dog on sat night.. but im sorry i cant share it untill i see if the dog is in the draw come the end of the month.

He won't see which was Droopys Jet went! Has everything and is one of the few that can make up for lost ground early on!
By:
He was very impressive and has as much chance as any in the Derby but put Vic inside Jet on Saturday night and the result would have been different in my opinion, he only led due to the draw. Brilliant performance though

*would = could*

He'd have picked up Ballymac Vic if they were drawn the other way around. I've never been so impressed with a dog since the College Causeway days. He just has everything and should be outright favourite with everybody! Cuil Cougar is another for the shortlist, will be a good Derby this year!
By:
Cannot have Cuil Cougar for stolen money, once he is lead he isn't the same dog, beaten by decent dogs lately, not great dogs. No value in the Derby market anymore, Puma is the only one at 25s with Fred
By:
My concern about Vic is he wants to be middle to rails and that the one box could be his downfall around the 1/4 final stage
By:
Always thought Droopys Jet benefits from red but people were saying differently in English Derby. Not always at his very best (although you can say that about all dogs) but shade disappointing not to win very good money for me at Wimbledon, so left him alone. Watch him win now!

Remember Judicial Pride?
Looked a boat over at the Don but brilliant when he came back to Shelbourne. Droopys obviously just did not handle the traps. hare etc over there and has resumed his brilliant domestic career upon returning. |
