Seeing as you cite me on this post Shaneboy, all i would like to say is think people like you and Irish mistake "patronising idiot" and "big ego" with just trying to be positive and confident. Of course with an attitude like that, you will meet with negativity, jealousy and criticism

I have been monitoring the so called "tipsters" on here since January started (to level stakes at S P) and would actually recommend premier fantasy, gwladys street, whom I believe also retains the pseudonym of Everton, Lostalot for Lays and Racing Cert for handicap races. I assure you they have all achieved a profit on the tips they have posted on here whereas a far greater number have not, including Mr Woodmanchester. I have no axe to grind with anyone on here, just wanted to expand my portfolio . Obviously its early days but I have found it would be difficult to play at the oddds recommended by Woodmanchester because by the time one reads the post the price appears to have gone. The Bags market however is more fluid and there are often opportunities to trade based upon the vast majority of self appointed "tipsters" making continual mistakes on the Daily Bags thread.

You should follow Woody pal , i used to think he was a guesser but as it happens I have made dosh from him, one month is no amount of time to make judgement on him or decisions like that. Give them all a year at least IMHO Laugh

Think Citizen has a point with my suggestions. When i'm on at say 2/1, the later arrivals could be looking at 5/4 and no value. The non-runners and bets at sp are still a bone of contention for me. Also, Citizen you say there is no profit to be had with my selections but i disagree. If i didnt get my few holidays a year from betting, i would seriously consider jacking it in. It's down to the staking plan. Some nights i might tip as many as 6, but mainly only for small interests. It's only the NAP and NEXT BEST, that usually carry any weight

As I said, I have no axe to grind with anyone on here.
All I did was survey the tips and the results from New Years Day.
Why do people become machismo and defensive to information on their tipping ?

Dont want to blow my own trumpet but in answer to me not making a profit, according to my reckoning, out of the last 11 NAPS since the turn of the year, 7 have been winners. Thats roughly a 70% strike-rate, not withstanding Ballymac Pet who would surely have been another winner. With a winning ratio like that, i've no need to go in search of inferior dogs at 4/1 and 5/1 etc. Just prefer to do it my way and stick to the best dogs i know, snaffling early prices and getting the slight percentages in my favour, imo. All i know is since the start of 2012, i'm  enough in profit to have already booked flights to Rome February 29th for my girlfriends birthday Happy

Alright Shiner, just dont like being wrongly accused of things. We all have our own ways of doing things. I've been happy with my profits over the past 6 years or so anyway, so enough said and enough of knocking people, i agree

Yeah, Irish. I'm sick of it. Needs must it seems to justify myself on here but i'm beginning to realise, whats the use. I'm neither egotistical nor a liar. I shouldnt be judged by people jumping in feet first without knowing the facts. Anyway, lump it or like it. I've been doing dogs since i was 15, written for the National Press about them for a living and happy to have it as a hobby now. I'm not saying i'm better than anyone, but take exception to all the judgements and criticism i get. Isnt it only natural to defend yourself when people attack? I should be like PF and not care. I'm happy anyway and you saddoes can either take a tip or two and information on board or ignore it, for all i care now!

Woody , dont worry about it, the irish have been laughing at the english for years really, since you came out with the thick paddy jokes . You seem to have a pole up your arris mate which elevates yourself way above the mottley crew herein. I dont think you are any harm by the way Laugh

Yeah, talk about being harmless, how do you get a one-armed Irishman out of a tree? Wave to him! Happy. Englishman, Irishman and Scotsman apply for job in the SAS. The interviewer says youve got to be ruthless or you cant join. Then, he says to the Englishman: "Your wife is in the room next door, here's a gun, go and shoot her. Englishman goes in but a few minutes later walks out and says i cant do it. She was my childhood sweetheart and i love her. Interviewer says okay, youve failed, the SAS is not for you. Same happens with the Scotsmanand he comes out saying, she's the mother of my bairns and i cant bring myself to do it. Then it's Paddy's turn. He goes in and soon there is the sound of tables and chairs flying everywhere and screaming. Paddy comes out and the interviewer asks him: "What happened in there?" Paddy says: "You could have told me they were dummy bullets, i had to strangle the b*tch!" Happy

"I've been doing dogs since i was 15, written for the National Press about them for a living and happy to have it as a hobby now. "

Woody when you were writing  in the National Press were you making judgements and criticising greyhounds and people around them ? I bet you were, thats exactly what you have been doing on here.

I see above that you "take exception to all the judgements and criticism i get"

So its all right for you to make judgements and criticisms about dogs and doggie people, but you take exception to it when you get it back . Thanks for the racist Irish jokes. Clearly you have sussed me out... but I think I have sussed you out too.

Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is a personality disorder[1] in which the individual is described as being excessively preoccupied with issues of personal adequacy, power, prestige and vanity.[2] Narcissistic personality disorder is closely linked to egocentrism.

Always puzzles me that Irish. I know the Irish get the unfair brunt of jokes and in this day and age, thats racist but they are the salt of the Earth and their sense of humour, hospitality and friendliness, lulls me into thinking these jokes are racist at all. Far too much political correctness nowadays. I cant be bald, ive got to be folically challenged etc. The world really has gone crazy. Short people are vertically challenged, not a short-*rse anymore. Dont take the jokes to heart Irish, i know you are all bigger than that, and it should just be water off a duck's back. My grandmother was English, making me quarter Irish anyway. My grandmother was a Casey and my roots go back to the O'Brien's. Each time i've been to Dublin, i've always met with a warm welcome from landing to the track. Not really sure what you mean by your last comment Irish, I'm not that intelligent really, so feel free to take a pop at the English. It's supposed to be a free country, there should be give and take and tit for tat. The Irish culture is one of my most favourite ones. I love walking down O'Connell Street on the way to Shelbourne Park, feel asthough i belong somehow. Anyway, the jokes are nothing Irish, dot take them personally. I get the Uncle Fester and Shrek lookalike business all the time. Who really cares?

My last comment = "Narcissistic personality disorder is closely linked to egocentrism."

Your last post = 8 lines, 10 "i"s, 7 "me"s or "my"s . Perhaps that helps, Woody you are so far up your own arris mate.
