dark side u really are a tool with an agenda against the racing manager but u wont answer y u aint got the b*****ks to ring or walk into the racing office??? u talk utter bull about the blue riband bias as the graded races proved,u have proved all u r is another keyboard warrior who is a very bitter person as i have said before the rm has his faults but the big difference betwwen u and him is he would have the balls to face u with a problem not hide behind a keyboard and username like u do shameful creature!!!!

If you take the time to read through this thread it is clear that the Dark Side makes some relevant points that never seem to be answered officially through this or any other medium that I am aware of.

On Jan 12 2012 he suggested Hall Green was “rotton to the core”, well lets be honest since then events have proved it is.
On Feb 8th he said    “ this unbelieveable Racing Manager (sic) how many more good trainers has he got to get rid off before people see the light and sack this idiot.” . Well lets be honest again since then more trainers and their staff have gone .
A couple of weeks ago (14 Mar 12) following enquiries at Hall Green stadium into Mr P Clarke and Mr Deakin he asked the question "
WHY DID THE RACING MANAGER NOT ATTEND ANY ?"

Given these scenarios Dark Side for me, (as a person who regularly punts at Hall Green), raises some very serious points which have failed to be addressed by the Hall Green management . Furthermore the longer these issues fail to be addressed the suspicion, bitterness and distrust which exists amongst many of the Hall Green faithful will continue to fester.

so every racing manager who doesnt attend a enquiry into one of his trainers deserves the sack bit harsh dont u think???? what recent events do u refer to irish that are worthy of a rm getting sacked??? the real punters at hall green do go and see and speak to the rm all the time its the backstabbing snides like dark side who cause the bitterness and distrust how many times have u been to hall green to see for yourself or do u just choose to believe whats put on here?????

I have never been to hall green, however this is the Hall Green Punters Forum and I punt there every BAGS meeting.

I never believe what's put on here, I question everything and continually ask people on here to back up what they are saying with facts.
You know as well as I do that many people who express opinions on here talk through their pocket.

Lastly , you have to recognise, in all fairness, that Dark Side has raised issues on here that effects Hall Green punters no matter where they reside or punt from. They  still have to have confidence in the management of the track. When you read official reports on trainers at the track betting and laying their dogs and its backed up on here by ex-trainers at Hall Green then it seriously dents that confidence.

For the record imho the RM at Hall Green is one of the easiest to read on the circuit, if you don't believe me match the betfair records freely available on here with the record of certain trainers dogs. Heres other one for you what track digs up there track a day before there premier comp of the Blue Ribend then blames that the outside dogs are not good enough and that is why none qualified or even the rain, why cant they hold there hands up and say we messed up but they will not, so in semis 13 Railers and 5 Middle seeds so for the person who has his 20k Bang Railer in Trap 5 in the semis i feel very sorry for him because of idiots who cant supply a level track. You can see how they talk on here with attitudes that they have massive problems talking to the general public who ask questions they dont like have a poll of the Hall Green regulars if RM should go it would be a landslide for him to get his P45.

More trainers failed drug tests at hg they are being investigated by authoritys mostly for morephine have been told, how and why is this going on, betfair should look who is laying dogs at hg for large amounts will tell the story, but of course the buck stops with the RM who carrys the can, its only a matter of time before he walks when a certain will becomes in the public domain.

For the record the GBGB are investigating the positives
as they believe they are coming through the food chain as quite a few
trainers have had dogs tested positive for morphine recently. I am led to
believe this has occurred at quite a few tracks (Paul slater for example has had
5 or 6 at Monmore) off course Dark Side won't tell you this.

Racing manager Rob Coulthard put his side of the story. “We had torrential rain here all day on Tuesday while it snowed the next morning and the rains came again during the meeting, if they ever went away that is.

“The last three races of the meeting were graded races and only once in these was traps four, five and six not in the first two, which makes me wonder why so many were apparently complaining about a bias.”

Breaking news from Hall Green is that ten workman are at the track working on the drainage system as you read this. “We do have a drainage problem here but hopefully it will be sorted, and possibly by the weekend.”

The first round of the Blue Riband took place this afternoon at Hall Green, shocking weather conditions and newly laid sand meant the track was going to be extremely slow.Estimates start at -60 and it seemed to get progressively slower as the sleet fell, we will have to check the going reports but -100 is going to be a close prediction for the later races races.

Heat 5 and the weather just did not let up, the monster that is Jaytee Pedro brushed aside a slow break to emerge unscathed off the second bend, he unleashed unreal backstraight pace to storm away from his field for a mightily impressive win in 29.42. Greyhound Trainer Mr A Pearson was found in breach of rules 152 (i) and (ii), 174 (i)(a) and 217 of the GBGB rules of racing, in that a pre-trial urine sample taken from the greyhound STOMPY PHIL at Kinsley Stadium on 22 October 2011 was analysed by LGC Ltd as containing the presence of morphine

The greyhound STOMPY PHIL was having a requalification trial after being lame. In the opinion of Mr A Mascarenhas, the time of 28.90 was in line with what would have been expected
The Committee noted the ‘Statement of Opinion’ from the Drug and Medication Advisory Panel, in which morphine was noted as being a Class A drug having effects in pain control and central nervous system action. It does not have a veterinary marketing authorisation for use in dogs but can be prescribed by veterinary surgeons under the prescribing cascade.
The Disciplinary Committee heard that Mr Pearson was at a loss to explain how the positive sample had arisen. The dog was not on medication at the time of the positive sample and was not kennelled with another greyhound that was receiving medication. Mr Pearson said he had always fed stained meat and brown bread to greyhounds in his care as part of their diet, but had been assured by the bread supplier that the bread did not contain poppy seeds. Mr Pearson suggested a possible explanation that some of the meat could have been contaminated, but produced no evidence to support this supposition.
Mr Pearson stated that he had been treating STOMPY PHIL for a wrist injury five weeks prior to the trial with rubbing oils and liniments. The Committee noted that the injury had subsequently caused the greyhound to be retired after his first race back after the trial in question.
Mr Pearson stated in his written evidence that, since being notified of the positive sample, he had stopped feeding stained meat and brown bread to the greyhounds in his care, and also now uses named feed that has ingredients printed on the bag.
The Disciplinary Committee pointed out that the GBGB Rules of Racing impose strict liability on the Trainer. Having considered the circumstances of the case and the presence of a banned Class A drug in the dog's urine for which no explanation could be produced, the Committee ordered that Mr Pearson be severely reprimanded and fined the sum of £600. In fixing the penalty the Committee took into account the following mitigating factors:
i. that Mr Pearson had taken prompt action to change his greyhound feeding regime in case this was a cause of contamination;
ii. that there had been no previous breaches recorded against him; and
iii. a letter of support provided by Mr John Curran, Authorised Representative of Kinsley Stadium.
The Disciplinary Committee recorded that under the new Penalty Guidelines the severe reprimand should be treated as being of equal importance to the fine, and that any further breaches may result in a more severe penalty, which could include the loss of Mr Pearson’s licence.

A question for Hall Green regulars. Is it me are the 480m traps not level to the ground on the inside? Have watched a couple of meetings in the shops lately and the traps seem to be slightly in the air on the inside. There definitely is a gap between the traps and the sand in traps 1 & 2 levelling off by 5 & 6. Not saying it has any effect on results, but just looks strange to me. Do I need to go to Specsavers?

Traps broke today what a shambles isint there any maintanance done on them like other tracks but where was the main man by the poolside at The Mirage in Vegas on his upteen holidays in the last year and every weekend off and the GRA is skint you can see why, come on Feltham and his merry gang do what the Trainers and Owners want get rid of this buffoon or you will have know trainers or dogs left soon because people have had enough.

If it is not certain that the traps can be fixed before Friday night (the pole holding the traps collapsed apparently and needs to be concreted back in)

The handicap traps arent ideal but it has to be better than nothing hasnt it?

Using the handicap traps is probably the best of a poor set of options, I'd agree - but isn't this a symptom of a far more fundamental problem with a lack of care, attention and, I guess most importantly, investment going back years rather than weeks or months?

The blame can't be laid totally at the door of the current management team who are operating under severe constraints, but IMO Hall Green had, and probably still has, the potential to be a fantastic venue for greyhound racing. Unfortunately, all the signs are that it isn't going to happen. I doubt that there will be many sadder than I about this situation - I really do wish that the track could be put into a position to thrive.

checked results found the betting % was terrible around 140 and with a tote that has a 30% take-out and low pools, what chance has the average punter got !!!

Some big priced runners on the BAGS card today - is less runners available having an effect on competitiveness?

Surely that's inevitable, less runners too choose from must
make it harder to grade competitive races

Any idea how BAGS feel about dogs starting at 12, 14, 16 and 20/1?

Not sure they'd be too happy - they like to have as balanced a book as possible as a rule

There are connacht rugby matches played at Galway before the Greyhound racing, the bar serves beer in a plastic throw away cup for the rugby mob , but you'll get a glass if you are there for the woofers.

Congratulations to Hall Green, my first visit in months on Saturday night and it was packed to the rafters.

betting 125-140% then hedging back at 101%, however races delayed due to no prices, cheers lads !
