Miltons Sophie - used to run at Hove back in the late eighties. Went up to Romford one night to lump her in a race over 1100m. She made late headway but was never going to get to Wayzgoose .

Any other stamina- laden beasts that deserve a mention ?

Went to Wimbledon one night to back Silver Mask.
Gloss would stay all day. Salina was one of the best but her mum Go Ahead Girl was real class.

There was a dog trained at Bristol in the early 90s that made Coverall seem like Ravage Again, name escapes me.
Mark Lavander 'trained' Marys Gem, pretty sure if Graham Holland trained it the dog would won Tv Trophy.

can anyone remember a dog called Kingdome Come.in the 70/80s it used to give dogs 30 yards start in 800 plus marathon and
Always very slow away and lose many lenths at the start.

A great marathon dog winning many races.
