Seriously now, hasn't this guy got a deal with the vets or can't it be absorbed as a business cost?

Also why the delay in sorting out the syndicate, did he think it was going to be a useful dog? If it turned out to be a useful open race dog would he have continued with the syndicate idea or just kept the dog for himself? Once retired he's have bred from the dog and made on the deal I'm sure.

To be honest the dog will have to be put out for the operation and it really wont make any difference to the dog if it doesnt wake up again. No im not very PC

Now Weres That Switch
Thanks.

Cheers m8.

Dave Edwards
Easy saying pay it out the business but already done that for a full year as well as a £250 vet bill already, I will also have a kennel bill whilst she recuperates( 3-6 months).

It is okay people saying she is my responsibility and I suppose she has to be someones, but it doesnt make it fair that someone should be left with huge bills for something they dont own or didnt ask to have, the only other solution would have been to have her PTS at 4 months old which would NEVER happen with me, I will pay this vets bill no matter what, and Daisy will be looked after, but I do NOT feel guilty in asking for help with this **.

I gave a ** to my mom and dad to look after called Jilliky. Sadly she died of cancer. They did everything they could for her. Paid out 1100 in the end. Still paying it back. they lent the money off a member of the family.

I wouldnt come on here begging for the money. responsibilty rests with rearer whether he likes it or not. Hope all goes well for the dog tbh.

Well he has give me some flak and I dont bare grudges and am tempted to contribute to be fair. I will contribute the tenner to the macmillian cancer fund.

Ok, lets not beat about the boat. The chances of the dog racing after a wrist pin is slim to none. you want the dog treated so you can breed from her later which is fine but to expect "Nameless Forumites" to pay is ludicrous.

As someone else has said, pay for it through your business and offset it against tax

now wheres that switch!!!

Check

Surely would have been simpler to have left her in breeders name until schooled and then put into my own name if she was a flying machine, if you theory is correct!

Would not have made an ounce of difference if she was unnamed etc.

You are correct that she is MY responsibility but only because she has been left with me.
By:

When: 08 Nov 09 23:22
Oh hard luck story. My mom and dad had Jilliky left with them I had a ** on cov. left with me. Just pay it yourself instead of pleading poverty on here.
By:

Ok rearer if you are to breed off her I think u should then continue to put dogs out of her litters into the charity name. And gain more prize money for such a worthy cause.

First off who are the " Nameless Forumites" you keep alluding too!

It is below the wrist but thats immaterial and I dont hold out hope for her racing either although the vet does, however her welfare and comfort is whats important not breeding or racing from her.

Thanks for the replys it has made me see things in a different light, whilst I would NEVER have asked for help for my own dogs, in hindsight It is obvious I should not have asked for help with a dog left with me, as such I will very kindly decline any offer of help( Thanks guys, you know who you are) and I will personally take on all of Daisys kennel and vet bills.

Whatever happens Daisy will be well looked after and will certainly NOT be PTS as was suggested earlier.

Today is my mums birthday and is a day I would rather remember my mum than getting embroiled in debates over a few pounds.

PS: I will not be responding to anymore posts.

This really was a case where if you wanted to help out that was fine and, if you didn't, a forum assasintaion wasn't really helpful. We all know that the express intention of this pup was to raise money for macmillan and the person who bid for the dog reneged on it. Why are some of you on here so spiteful - honestly some of you make me sick with your pathetic jibes and point scoring - clearly some of you hold agendas of your own. I'm so pleased that you have won your little arguement - its just a shame that you can't see the bigger picture - life in blinkers must be very fulfilling for you.

Dave are u going to breed with the **? perhaps a few of us could get together and buy a share in her,and a mating could be lined up with savannah highlands for the future, obviously with pups to be reared there would need to be a few of us to cover the cost ,just
and idea mate ,could be an interesting venture for some ...

Im oooooooop north next week dave if i get a chance i will pop up an see u.
